So on 11/6/2023 I signed a contract for services to be rendered, for visitation and modification Pretending to my court order, On 11/7/2023 I emailed ************************************ Who refers to being a LDA Registration number x20171000023 County of registration ******. Date of expiration 04/2024 So I emailed her a copy of my Present court order for visitation I then realized on the 7th of November That I would need an attorney to handle this Matter And I had informed her via phone and text messages She had advised me that I Should file with the da's Office What's called a good cause report- penal code section ***** With the Fresno County district attorney's bureau of investigation child abduction unit. so To inform them as to why I am in violation of the other party's visitation. I then explained to her that would be The only services that I would need For for her 2 prepare for me She was unable to contact anyone from the da's office. In order to get the necessary forms. She explained to me that she would have to contact the da's office to get. Whatever paperwork was needed to be filled out A day or so had gone by And she kept telling me that she was unable to get through to them. That is when she gave me the telephone number to contact them So when I finally contacted them I was able to pick up the form And email it to my attorney that I had to hire. Nevertheless, as of today I still don't have any paperwork that ******************** claims to have Prepared for me Nor refund of my $200 And I had Informed her well within 24 hours. That I did not need the services pertaining to modification of my court order, Now all I'm getting are excuses of refunding my money via phone and texts, I have been a victim of businesses in the past. And I don't like it There are businesses that take advantages of regular citizens because they feel that they can And most people will not go to distance to make wrong, right. ********************* is wrong and she knows it. She just wants to keep my money.

      Business response

      12/18/2023

***** and I entered into a contract. I was to prepare his custody and visitation modification paperwork, he was to pay me $500.00 for the work, very straightforward. On the same ****************** was supposed to make an initial payment of $250.00, which he could only provide $200.00 of at that time. We mutually decided that he would pay the remaining $300.00 when he returned to pick up his completed paperwork a few days later.
Upon his return, the paperwork was ready as promised. However, ***** entered my office without the balance and requested a refund, citing the need to pay his rent. I explained that, given the completion of the paperwork, a full refund would be unfair to me. After a brief discussion, we agreed that a partial refund of $100.00 would be reasonable, I had no cash on me at the time so I would get it to him within the next few days.
Unfortunately, a few days later I fell off the face of the planet. I 100%burned out. I was waking up and working, working all day, I would go to bed around 1:00-2:00 am because I was working, Id wake up at 6:00 am and do it again. This went on for close to 4 years. I took a week off and unfortunately his issue was unintentionally forgotten about. The timing was just coincidental. However, if he had called me to remind me, we could have avoided this.
Instead, he chose to involve the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to resolve a $100.00 issue, damaging my record and escalating the situation unnecessarily. ***** ON HIM for doing this, HE spent money that he should not have, HE entered a contract that he should not have. HE wasted my time preparing his paperwork, I begrudgingly agreed to take $100 even though I was due the entire $500. Then he has the audacity to file a complaint.
And this calling the DAs office thing was an afterthought, was not part of our original contract and is unrelated to any legitimate concerns about our agreement. It was merely a courtesy and a suggestion to help him with his custody issue. Again, SHAME ON HIM for using that as a reason to file this complaint.
In light of these circumstances, I will not be refunding the $100.00. As far as Im concerned, any secondary agreement that we had has been voided due to these actions. This complaint has served as a reminder of his outstanding balance, and I will initiate collection efforts to address this matter immediately.

      Customer response

      12/19/2023

I am rejecting this response because:

I reject the business's response to my complaint, She's not being truthful nor statement she made is true. I have responded and reached out to the business by text and phone and they were ignored.

I have proof I have text messages that was sent to her and gone unanswered, Her reasoning for not responding to me is not acceptable. This was a very time sensitive matter that needed to be dealt with.

The fact Remains I have not seen any documents that she claims to have Prepared Or received any refunds that she claims that we agreed on This appears to be a very shady business and an unprofessional one at that.

Shame on Her for conducting business in this manner, The way she's conducting business appears to be very shady, She would keep making excuses as to why she could not even give me. The $100 and days would pass by. She would even tell me i would have to wait until she gets Paid from other clients. in  order to pay me, I thought that was very strange that she didn't even have a $100 to return to me  As we agreed.

Either way I still did not have documents nor the refund of the $100 As I said before, this business seems very shady On how she's conducting business And very unprofessional, I would not recommend anyone doing business with her. Until she gets her act together and becomes much more professional.
