On the morning of August 4th, 2022, I dropped off my Father in law's 2011 Dodge Journey at the Jim Manning service department. Spoke with the service manager about certain issues with the vehicle. after all paperwork was settle, the service manager stated that they would call with updates. After a week, we decided to call and find out any info. They gave us the "run around" stating they've done a few tests and told us they would call us back. Three weeks later, we called again and they stated they needed our permission to "open up" the engine compartment, possibly needs a new head or to machine the existing head. In turn, we gave them permission and agin told us they would update us. September 8th, 2022 we decided to call yet again after not hearing anything from them, This time my Father in law made the phone call. They stated that "warranty work does not pay the bills". My father in law told them to give us the car back so we could take our business else where and in turn, they stated, other dealerships won't want your business cause its all warranty work and know one wants to work on that". Also stating "it'll only take longer'. September 9th, 2022 I decided to call the dealership and ask for our car back. Service manager began to tell me that everything is being taken care of and to give him another week. Also stated that all of the parts have been in stock this whole time with the exception of the head itself. The head would cost too much to repair, so I figured they would just replace the head like they originally stated a few weeks ago. We would like a resolution ASAP! Either give us our vehicle back with no deductible, or just repair our vehicle and will gladly pay the deductible of $100! This has been a real inconvenience for my family and would like this to be resolved. It has been well over a month!

      Please see all attachments.

Mr. ********** the legal owner of the 2011 Dodge Journey had a Service Contract that paid out the value of the vehicle, because repair cost was going to be greater than the value of the car (Please see guidelines attached). ***** ******* ********** **** sent a check for $7550.00. Customer declined fixing the vehicle and paying for additional cost of repair. Customer was still responsible for diagnostic and remove and inspect cost. Customer endorsed check over to Jim Manning Dodge and we issued him check number 11788 for $6350.00 the difference between ***** ******* ********** payout and Repair Order number 140423. Mr. ********** took possession of his 2011 Dodge Journey with no further repairs done and received a check for $6350.00.
