I traded in my previous car to South Coast Mitshubishi, (**** ***********, Costa ****, ** ***** ) to my current car. But they did not pay off my trade in car until a few months. I tried contacting them about this issue but they kept ignoring me. Now my credit went down a lot.Initial Complaint

In 11/2018, my hubby & I jointly purchased 2 vehicles from South Coast Mitsubishi (sperate purchases & financiers) in 2 weeks time. We were told added *** coverage was required because they were newer models (& would cover us 100%). We've never missed an allstate auto insurance payment (full coverage) nor our car payments (*** included). On 05/29/2020, our 2018 Mirage was rear ended so badly that it was deemed a total loss. My ************ were sent to E.R. Ironically on 06/09/2020, our 2017 Outlander was also in an accident causing total loss (both w/full on scene police reports were made) ********** payout was paid by allstate and ***. I was still left with a (unknown at the time) balance. Even after I was promised *** would cover us 100%. When we tried to file the total loss paperwork (outlander) we were denied & reason for denial was "supposedly" due to the fact we had cancelled the *** coverage on both vehicles on 05/29/2020 (date of mirage accident). This is so ridiculous. The *** coverage were separate policies, in fact we had purchased extended coverages. When I asked for the required paperwork they ***** emailed me docs to sign but they sent as backdated documents for *** to sign. They are crooks and i can prove it! I saved all emails and have the incriminating email from Mitsubishi saying so. When I claimed the total loss, I was given cancellation docs to sign for ***. If I had cancelled prior then there should not been a need for that. The (outlander) documents sent were all wrong: 3 different dates were listed, they confused the ************* #'s with the other vehicle (only policy #'s were correct). My hubby & I are seniors and contracted covid-19 at its height so we were sick for a long time. Shockingly, when we kept calling the dealership for help they actually began to scream at us over the phone & then would hang up on us. We were mortified. The *** claims administrator would not return calls,accept mail or upload any proof docs to appeal. Help.Initial Complaint

A Truck was purchased on 1/20/23, the very night of leaving the truck would not start and heater and electrical had problems. Took truck to the ****** dealership to check out problems and was told to take the truck back immediately as it has been submerged in water, mud still in the walls of the cab, complete with mold and organic growth. ****** said truck was probably unsafe . Took truck back immediately and told them of our findings and they refused to take truck back. We do have pictures and written statement from ****** .Initial Complaint

On July 3rd, 2021 I was sold a lemon car. The car stopped working the first day I got it. I took it to a certified technician who told me that car does not pass safety inspection. South coast got back at me to fix the problem and told me they would buy the car off me at the price I got it for and they would sell me a different one. I agreed to the offer. Originally I gave a down payment of ****** which they told me I would be getting that money back from the third party gap insurance and extended warranty as that money did not belong to them for a car that wasn't running. They also asked me to make the first payment of the lemon car, once they transferred the lemon car back to them the bank was going to refund that payment too, I never got the payment back. I called the gap and extended warranty as I had not received any money and they told me the refund was sent to the dealership. I called the dealership and ********************** and **** denied everything. I was in the impression they were trying to fix THEIR mistake. I sold my car to them on Saturday 12/4/21. Salesman told me they couldn't issue me a check until Tuesday 12/7/21. He told me he'd call on Tuesday but never did. I contacted him on Tuesday and was told my check would be ready for pickup today Wednesday 12/8/21 by 12 pm. I arrived at 10:30 and was told my check was not available. I would have to speak to the General Manager who they said is "*****.". They refused to give me any contact information. They told me they can't do anything until he is reached. I contacted Mitsubishi corporation and learned the owner/GM is named ***********************. I have tried contacting the dealership again but they've continued to refuse to let me speak to him.Initial Complaint

I sold them my car on Saturday 12/4/21. I was told they could not issue me a check in the weekend. The salesman said he would have the check ready by Tuesday and that he would call me. I never received a call so I contacted him. He said the check would be ready the next day on Wednesday 12/8/21 before 12:00am. I told him I would be in to pick it up at 11:00am. Upon arrival they told me my check is not available until the general manager signs it. They refused to give me the name of the ** or even let me talk to him. They would not tell me when I would get my check or if I would even get my check. All they keep saying is that I have to talk to the ** who is unnamed and not present. At this point I dont even know who Im supposed to speak to to get paid for my car.Initial Complaint

DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT GO HERE FOR A CAR!!! THEY ARE CROOKS!!!! We went to this dealership to get a car for my son. When we arrived the car was in the service Bay. I asked what was wrong with the car they said nothing. Was just parked back there. We went on a test drive everything seemed OK. We went into the financing the finance guy did not tell us that we had to sign a separate check to cover $750 in case we wanted to return the car in 2 days they gave us a $1000 for the trade and we put $2000 on a card we took the car they said we had 3 days to change our mind! Which was a lie!. We took the car back because it sounded like a diesel truck. We took it to 2 mechanics they said it was major engine repair and front end repair which is about $7000 which was the price of the car almost! They lied to us about the price on the car when we got there they said the advertisement on the 3rd party they don't honor it was a $1000 less they would not accept that price they refuse to take the car back and ******* was screaming in my face obscenities Said we were stuck with the car sir and we found out that they did not get financing in the 10 days so we went back to unwind deal. Again ******* screamed in my face I threatened a lawyer he finally unwound the deal but on the deal but has not given us our trade back said it was sold and refuses to give us the $1000 that he promised us for the car. DO NOT use this dealer the owner of boss Amadi is never there physically these dealerships are run by pions that don't give a s*** about their customer they overcharged us on gap and the extended warranty as well. We now have to fight to get our money back! Its Fraud to sell trade before deal is finalized!!!Initial Complaint

Buyer beware: they are grossly incompetent. I purchased a used car on August 18, 2021. The dealer made me pay before agreeing to sign a contract. The dealer did not issue temporary plates, did not give me a **** of sale, nor transferred the title. It's now been months, and though the car is in my garage, I can't register it. Calls and emails to the dealership were never answered in a timely manner, I was regularly insulted during the purchase process, and now that they been paid, they've stopped responding completely. I purchased a 2014 ***** Silverado on 02/14/2021 for ******. They were committed to provide updated registration and license plates within 4 to 6 weeks. And also provide certificate of ownership to the lien holder which they have failed to do, It has been over 5 months and nothing has been done. Ive called several times and keep getting the run around. I have also called DMV to see what the hold up was, I was told the dealership has not completed all of the paperwork needed to complete the transaction. It doesnt seem they have made any effort to resolve this matter.Initial Complaint

Date of Transaction - March/13/2021 WE bought a new Mitsubishi PHEV 2020 at this dealer on 3/13/2021. During the time of the purchase, we asked about various rebates that the state has been providing. We were told that we could file them ourselves. We did not know at the time that the CA Clean Fuel rebate should be completed by the dealer since we were new to the electric vehicle. Based on our research we saw this dealer listed as the participating dealer so we thought they would honor. After the purchase, we mentioned this and the dealer denied complete help. We tried resolving and contacting the manager, but the store denied help and said they do not honor it. In addition, at the time of the purchase, we were also supposed to receive the check for our last payment for our previous car. We called and visited multiple times. Every time we call, they say they will call back but would never call back. I am tired of calling and trying to collect our money. Need help!
