Prior to moving into The Essential, we found out that we had to contact Confirm Insurance to waive the company's Rental Liability Program, a program that provides liability coverage for the building for $13.18 per month. This program does not provide any coverage for the tenant's belongings, but it can be replaced with an alternate renter's insurance. The website (**************************) that they gave us to waive did not allow us to upload our alternate renter's insurance, so we emailed the company directly. We received confirmation from ***** ********* that our form had been received and uploaded, and on 5/13/25, we received approval from Confirm Insurance that our renter's liability program requirement had been waived. Since then, we have continued to receive monthly charges from Confirm Insurance--$6.50 in June and $13.18 in July. Our building told us to re-upload our form to Confirm Insurance, which we did, but we received an automatic denial saying that our "interested party" had to be formatted in exactly the way that we had already formatted it. In other words, there is no way for us to "correct" the insurance.Meanwhile, reaching out multiple times via email has not worked, and we are scheduled to receive ongoing $13.18 per month charges indefinitely. We are seeking a full removal of the $19.68 in prior charges to our resident portal and a guarantee that we will not continue to be charged monthly for this deceitful ********** a side note, Confirm Insurance has changed its email address 3 times since we first started contacting them in May. First, they used ******************** Then, they changed to ******************************** Most recently, they have changed to ********************************* This has made it extremely difficult for us to contact this business. The phone number listed on their website, ************, requires an extension code that is not listed on their website, so the phone number cannot be reached.Initial Complaint

I moved to a building name i5 wynhood on April 11 and I have my own insurance carryover on the same day I moved in, the property manager said they cant stop the insurance to charge me but I was promised a refund of $11.33 once I submitted the proof of my insurance. I sent them my insurance through email on April 11 and no response until April 28 I got the email from the building manager that I need to submit my insurance again because they lost it. I submitted again using the link in the email and created account on the website at *****************************************, I submitted the insurance on April 29 and it was approved on April 29 2025. I sent them a few emails to ******************************* on May 1, 2025 requesting a partial refund of $11.33 from April ***** since I was using my own insurance during the time period. As today May 24? No one from the insurance company responded to my emails but went to close my case without notice and the property manager at my building said they cant refund me because insurance is a separate account and they cant touch it. So please Im requesting a refund of $11.34 from confirminsurance immediately.Initial Complaint

My daughter who lives in a college town lives in an apartment complex that requires that we have rental insurance. She has her own insurance, but they automatically enroll us into this confirmed insurance company that automatically attaches a charge to her rent unless she opts out. We have provided proof multiple times that she has insurance coverage. In fact, we have an email stating that her insurance had been approved. Suddenly, 2 months mater she starts getting emails telling her this is wrong or that is wrong. She has updated and added the information and sent them proof multiple times. They refuse to credit her account. They do not have a contact number. You can send them an email, but they just repeat the same thing over again. They cannot justify or give me an explanation.Initial Complaint

On 2/24/2025, I emailed the opt out email for Confirm Insurance with proof of renters insurance. They emailed me back 2/28/2025 stating I needed to list ****** as as interested party. Aviata was already listed as an interested party on 2/24- so I emailed back immediately with proof again and had Lemonade send proof again as well. Now Ive been charged $15 on 3/1/2025 and am seeing another $15 charge coming up for 4/1/2025. I do NOT authorize these charges and do not need a damage waiver. I am carrying exactly what they are asking for in Renters Insurance. I am requesting that there be no further charges for a damage waiver, removal from the program, and a $15 refund for 3/1/2025 AND any future $15 charges that occur. Confirm Insurance has been completely non-responsive since 2/28/2025. Please answer me. I can not afford both a damage waiver and renters insurance.Initial Complaint

This company scams people out of their money. When a tenant has their own insurance coverage which also covers landlord property they should not be forced to pay for this "service". If landlords want additional coverage they should pay for it themselves not force a tenant to have to pay for it.Initial Complaint

I am the guarantee on our daughters townhouse in *******, the gathering. They recently changed ownership therefore different third parties that they were using changed at the beginning of her lease in August 2024 we submitted liability insurance to the proper third-party December 1, 2024 afternoon ship They were now using confirm insurance as their third-party. I received a notification that I had to resubmit proof of liability insurance or we wouldbe charged in the next billing. This was December 1 within that week I submitted proof of insurance in December 9. They sent me an email confirming receipt and that its satisfied the necessary liability Prior to this we were charged $12.99 on our account and after receiving our proof of insurance, they credited us but not the full amount a $3.35 balance theres no reason for them to charge us anything we have had coverage since August 2024 start of lease And I provided the coverage in the timely manner. I have contacted them several times via email because thats the only means of communication with thiscompany although $3.35 isnt not a lot. I am not paying this based on principal they shouldnt be charging us at all and if they charge everyone same amount theyre making money for nothing.
