Recieved a text to my phone after submitting an application over linkedin for a position as a mystery shopper. Received information that checks would be sent ahead to cover expenses and salary, $300 per assignment. Was advised to send personal information to an email address including name, address, etc. Email address does not match any listed emails for the "company". Calling the advertised number on the website leads to a different company entirely.Business response

I am sorry to hear the experience that ****** received, however this was not from our company but an typical internet scam that target people fraudulently posing as a companies such as ours. We often get calls from people first checking to see if what *********************** was from us, we tell them that it is not, we never pay in advance. And we suggest to them to report the posting to LinkedIn.
Please share with ******, that if she is interested in conducting mystery shops that she should call the company directly, and check with the MSPA.ORG for more information.
She can also call me at ************ or email me at ******************************************* and I will connect her directly with our scheduling team for legit mystery shopping opportunties.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference tocomplaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Please advise that I appreciate their reaching out and had come to much the same conclusion regarding the scam. Thank you all so much for your involvement.

Scam offering $300 for people to be mystery shopper. When you follow up they send a form asking for ALL credit card info. I found a job posting on LinkedIn and applied, but it is a scam.Here was the email signature Email: **************************************************** Phone: ************** 2022 Mercantile Systems Market Research I believe the associated website is https://mercsystems.com/about-us/This is the website they directed me to to fill out the credit card info: https://blsa4uyotr6.typeform.com/to/Nf20Z1i7
