I am writing to address the distressing discovery that you have been sharing my nonpublic information with credit bureaus, resulting in inaccurate reporting on my credit profile. This violates my privacy rights under 15 USC 1681 section 602 and 15 USC 1681 Section 604 A Section 2, which mandates written consent for such actions.Your inaccurate reporting, including incorrectly labeling timely payments as late, has caused significant financial and emotional distress. I demand immediate corrective action and cessation of unauthorized information sharing. I also seek compensation for damages incurred.Please rectify this matter promptly. There is no record of any account by this name. It is a possibility that the consumer has named the wrong credit union. American First Credit Union is often mistaken for other credit unions with a similar name, e.g. ********* Credit Union, ******* Credit Union, etc.

I have identified certain transactions on my consumer report to be a result of identity theft. I confirm that I did not provide written permission or instructions for the identified transactions to be reported on my consumer report. Therefore, I am requesting that the reporting of this information be removed, blocked, and deleted within 4 business days from the receipt of this letter. American First Credit Union searched our data base and no records were identified, there are no records under this consumer name. American First Credit Union is not reporting to the credit bureau on this individual. For further assistance the consumer may contact American First Credit Union at **************, and request to speak to the *** department. A stolen identity booklet can be provided to aid the consumer in handling her claim of stolen identity.Initial Complaint

This is a fraudulent account AMER FST CU ****************** there are discrepancy on my credit report and this account needs to be deleted. I have **** **** **** **** **** 82 as a receipt number in certified mail that I used sending them my letters showing inaccuracies on my credit report. I have send them a letter on 06/21/2023 but I didn't receive any feed back and this account hurting my ********************** score. I will file legal complaint if they did not respond.Business response

I purchased a vehicle and they were the company the dealership chose to handle my loan. I paid off my loan in full in July of 2021 and was done with this bank. I received mail from this bank last month (April 2022) showing a balance and charges. I called to see what this was since I had nothing gnwitb this bank since the loan was paid in full. I was informed when I called that theybhad opened a savings account in my name and there was an over pay from the pay off and t was placed into this savings account. I was then told that the charges were service charges since there wasn't a certain amount in the account. I informed them that I never had anything with them but the vehicle loan I asked for this account to be closed and my money refunded to me she stated she would do that. I realized this month that I never received my check from them and called them yesterday and I found out that the account was never closed and they will only send me what is in the account and 3 months of the service charges. I informed them again I never opened this account or received anything sooner than what I received in April and they say they sent me other statements showing this but I never received them they are refusing to give me the money that I over paid. I should have been done with them once the loan was paid in full. They should have sent me the check for my over payment or at least asked me of I wanted an account with them. I was never even informed that I over paid they just kept the money and kept taking 10$ a month from my money. They are refusing to give me money that was mine and they never should have opened an account in my name without my knowledge. I have spoken to a supervisor and a manager and both of them were very rude and not willing to work with me at all. I never would have agreed to have my over pay go into an account that was going to charge me monthly , and into a bank that isn't even in the same city I'm in. I just want the money that I over paid back.Business response

The credit union contacted the member with a welcome call and sent a welcome package on February 5, 2019. This that time the member has been sent account statements. The credit union provided a courtesy wavier of partial fees in the past, and to resolve this issue a full refund was issued to the member in the form of a check on 6/01/2022. They are lieing I never received a "welcome" packet or welcome call from them and never agreed to have my over payment placed into this savings account that I didn't ask for. They did not issue a full refund like they state they did. They issued a partial refund of what was in the account after the fees they charged.Business response

The reimbursement of the remaining fees were sent via U.S. Mail on 6/01/2022, which has not yet been received by the member. Enclosed was a check #******** in the amount of $66.00 along with a copy of the letter which accompanied her welcome package on February 5, 2019.Customer response

Thank you they did send me a check along with a letter but that letter had absolutely no mention of a savings account just my vehicle loan and how much my payment was and when it was due but I appreciate the reimbursement of my funds

I opened up an account back in Dec the purpose of the account was to build a relationship with the bank and build my credit scores. I used my own funds for a secured loan. Once I received the documents for the secured loan. It was not the terms we agreed on. Not only were the terms wrong also there was life insurance on the contract I didn't want. I sell insurance myself why would I buy insurance from them. I spoke to several representatives who also couldn't understand how my account was set up. They pulled my credit report which I didn't approve of then come back with a number of 580 something score. They pull credit reports from Transunion I pulled my own score which reflected 671. I received their secured credit card under false credit scores. I would have closed the account months ago after all the issues but I didn't want to damage my scoresBusiness response
