MAP MOVING & STORAGE / *** ****** MOVING & STORAGE in ******* and **************** - Had I read these reviews before, I would never had used them to move our item cross country. We contracted with ********** Moving & Storage and they are the ones that hired Map Moving & Storage. They are all crooks. They extorted money and tried to extort more money. We ended up going to their storage unit, in a regular storage facility ( 2 hours away from our home ) to retrieve our items, as they wanted to extort money since they told us they could not take a 18 ******* into the area streets. They also had our items mixed up with other people's items and damaged beyond repair several family heirlooms. We have done several cross country moves and had great service until these folks. DO NOT *** EITHER *** ****** MOVING, *** MAP MOVING & STORAGE. YOU WILL BE ***** FOR IT, **** SO MANYOTHERS.HAD TO PUT ONE **** BECA*** AT ***** ONE IS REQUIRED, *******, **** SHOULD HAVE A **** **** REVIEW."

This company is a joke. I did not hire this company but a moving broker company did. Had i known what I know now I would have picked another moving company. They showed up late to our house- instead of 8:00 am they showed up at 8:30 pm and increased our price by $2800. When asked why we were told to many bulky items but they could never give us a specific item that was bulky (we had normal household items). They knew going into this move that we would need 2 trucks (another reason they stated the price would go up) but when they showed up the next day they made us rent a UHaul and drive it from MI and TN and never helped load the items into the truck but left with my items sitting in my driveway. They also do not have enough movers staffed and place craiglist ads for movers. It was to my surprise when a man showed up at my new house asking if i was the one who placed the ad on Craigslist. Not only do I not know who is walking into my house and handling my items there was no back ground check. We were also told that they would accept payment in form of cash or Venmo. Which we paid in cash in different installments but when delivery came we only had the money in our account so we were going to pay thru Venmo. We were then told that he would not accept it only cash and would not start unloading until he had the cash on hand. This made it very difficult since they delivered our items on Sunday. Luckily for us, we had some family members that helped us out before our items were kept hostage from us. The main mover was very rude. Would always talk over us and was very unprofessional. You know its not a good company when my new neighbors told us the next day that they had 911 ready to be called on them. It was a constant argument with the movers. I would never use them if they were the last company on earth. I would move my self across the country and carry a huge household of items up thousands of stairs before I would ever use this company. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS ONE

I can't stress this enough, do NOT hire this company!!! I was quoted a price by a very smooth talking woman named Ashley. I was told that our move would not be a problem, despite living on a remote mountain road. She did an aerial view of the house, telling me what the house & driveway looked like & said, No problem! First off, our pick up was delayed by THREE days. I ended up having to leave ahead of my son, leaving him behind to deal with the pick up, but I had no choice. The pick up people had to shuttle our items from the house, to the end of the driveway, to the truck. They said that if they had know, they would have never agreed to it. Apparently, the moving services are contracted out & not done by MAP Moving. So, right away, the price wend up. Our things were delivered two weeks later, by a different individual than who had done the pick up. Two weeks without a bed and necessities. The drop off was a **** show. Our lawn mower and MANY valuable, personal items were stolen. Every single box was damaged and delivered up side down. I'm not even kidding, every single box. The people at MAP moving were not helpful and were downright mean. Making a claim is just a trip down a rabbit hole. The final price was SO much more expensive. But, you either pay it, or you don't get your things. It's a very helpless, frustrating place to be.
