In March of 2020, my transmission on my car failed, I took it to All Automatic On the grounds of having the car fixed to be drivable and have no more transmission issues. They gave the car back to me after doing a rebuild, and within a few months the transmission had failed. As I had warranty until March of 2022 I took the car back to them, not long after they repaired it again, it failed yet again. So I began to do my own research on my vehicle and found that other owners also experience transmission issues, and rebuilds almost never last. The best resolution to these vehicles is to swap in a 2007 Honda Accord V6 transmission. I brought this to their attention, but they were confident in their work, continuing to swap shift solenoids and pressure switches etc.. it wasn’t until I was head back to Bakersfield from Los Angeles & my torque converter locked up while driving on the I-5 (almost causing me to lose control and potentially harm myself or someone else) that they decided to look into the Accord trans swap. Ultimately they decided to rebuild the transmission again, which has been having problems and failures as well since. I have had to have my car go back to their shop Atleast 7 times throughout my 2year warranty. They’ve continued to swap solenoids etc, add coolers but never actually solve the issue, the last date being February 2022. In June of 2022 I began to notice odd shift patterns again, so I took the car to them yet again in which they told me “awe man the car failed again? Go ahead and find that accord transmission and we’ll get it swapped no charge cause at this point I just feel bad” but a week later they called saying the car is ready for pick up, that they just swapped a 3rd gear pressure switch. I was upset as this has been done before, so I decided to file a BBB report because I feel the company has tried to push me off with quick patch fixes until my warranty was up and never actually did the job they were paid to do. *not all documents attache

Mr. *********'s vehicle was repaired in March of 2020 and had a 2 year or 24,000 mile warranty, which ever occurs first.  He is incorrect in stating that he had a warranty until March of 2022.  When the vehicle was originally repaired the mileage was 142,096 with the 24,000 mile warranty, his warranty ended at 166,096.  In July of 2021 the vehicle had an issue and was in Bullhead City AZ.  The mileage at that time was 170,165.  Not only was the warranty expired but our warranty does not cover towing.  As a courtesy we towed the vehicle from Bullhead City and repaired at no charge.  The vehicle now has 197,000 miles and is in proper working order, it only needed a pressure switch, this is roughly a $175.00 repair, we did not charge for this.  When we rebuilt the transmission we did not charge for a new pressure switch, normal rebuild and remanufacturing procedure does not require, warrant or recommend replacement of exterior electronic components, if needed during the warranty period it is common, but not required to cover such items.  This vehicle had more than double the miles of our warranty.

We did not tell Mr. ********* that we would buy a transmission and install it for free, we told him we could discount the labor if he bought one since he was well out of warranty.  Installing a 2007 Honda Accord transmission deviates from industry standards as well as manufacturers recommendations, the customer read this as possible solution online.  Such an installation would require modifications to the vehicle we would not preform at our shop.  We were paid to rebuild the transmission in the customers car, if there was a defect or design flaw in his transmission requiring replacement and redesign he would have been charged accordingly.  If this vehicle is truly not repairable for reasons outside of All Automatics control then there is no way we be held responsible.  We have however not only honored our warranty, we went above and beyond.

I am rejecting this response because:
As far as the failure in Bullhead City, AZ goes (the second time I have been stranded in another city because of these issues), the transmission had issues numerous times before what they consider the  “end of warranty” and as far as the rebuild goes, that was their final decision on what they were going to do to resolve the issue. The car was sent to them on the terms of being repaired, not specifically rebuilt. If this case were to be investigated, bbb would find numerous receipts  showing the amount of issues and failures that took place prior to what they consider the end of warranty. The fact that they decided to do work on it many times after the warranty ended only shows their guilt. The car is not currently in working condition with the recent work they did (outside of warranty) and actually resumed the same issues it was sent in for the next day, this goes to show that they do not actually try to fix the issue, only attempt to quick fix it to keep pushing me off farther from warranty as they have done similar fixes times before. They claim the Accord V6 swap requires modifications & it does not, I have sent them the internet link for a very descriptive step by step process on the swap, only requiring interchanging a few parts between the two transmissions. And yet again, they are saying they have never said they would do the swap, yet everytime the car had to go back to their shop they would say they’re “probably gonna go with that accord swap” or “gonna look into it.” This recent time I dropped the car off, Joel Sanders in his own words said “find one of those transmissions and we’ll get it swapped no charge cause at this point I feel bad” I was never told they would “swap it at a discounted charge” if I were to pay for the transmission. He even had me send pictures of the 2 transmissions I found to the shops phone number (or possibly his personal cell.) I am not asking to be reimbursed, I’m simply asking for my vehicle to be correctly repaired because the constant issues I’ve had have caused my work life to have to constantly be put on pause. Within their reply they have disregarded the amount of times they have had to repair the vehicle prior to the 2 year or 24,000 mile warranty, and as said before someone who knows they did their job correctly would not repair the vehicle again free of charge outside of warranty on numerous occasions.

We feel our original response states our position.  The vehicle is in proper working order, warranty work was performed at no charge, work was done at no charge outside of the warranty period.

The email from the BBB asked for supporting documentation but also states not to give customer information.  We have invoice copies if the BBB would like to review but agree with the BBB that for privacy reasons we do not share customers personal information.

Brought my vehicle in for transmission rebuild April/2020, I have made several calls spanning from October/2020 till current day and I keep receiving the same answer, my vehicle will be done next week, or tomorrow I can pick it up. I called in earlier this week 7/19/2021 and they said they had all the parts for repair, when calling again 7/21/2021 they said they did not have the parts and would still need to order them Unfortunately for me this is the only transmission shop that would touch my vehicle So I am at their mercy but this is very unprofessional and very unreliable service

We've been in contact with this customer, he was actually at our shop last Friday.  His vehicle is not starting, we've completed the transmission work but for some reason the engine is not turning over.  We've remained in contact with Mr. Garcia and will do our best to assist him in getting it going.
