Refusal to refund a part that was never picked up I was not made in aware of a mandatory down payment that is non-refundable. I was lured to this business by a so called mechanic told they had a part I needed. I went I was told it would be about week and if I would like to pay part which I was happy to because I was under the impression if I would have any issues I would get my money back. But instead they refuse to refund then decide to refund part of it. There is no signs around that say no refunds or minimum fees for what ever reason. Non of this is told to you by a sales associate or on any contract abide someone to this very miss leading. I just want my full refund I should have been informed and there should be a contract if they are taking peoples money with no assurance.Business response

Hello, The truck axle was a special order part that was sent in on a freight truck at a cost of 100-150 each way in freight, We do not order parts without a deposit for reasons like this that if customer decides he does not want to purchase part due to outside reasons. If part was defective it was fully returnable or refundable, In this case the customer needed money to fix another part on his truck, We even helped him out by returning $125.00 to help him with his matter only leaving us with $175 to help with 2 ways of freight that would put us negative. In almost all industries Special Orders are non returnable and non refundable. We still gave him some $ back to help him out in his situation. Even offered to give him the part that was bad on his truck for a discounted price to help him out. Mechanic knew there was a deposit needed to order and told customer to come in to order, Customer will not loose this deposit if he still purchased the part as he told us he would by this week., Have not heard from him again.Customer response

Know. I am not saying that they don’t practice what ever it is that they practice what I am saying is that at time of purchase none of this was told to me about there practice on the return policy if they have one that was not posted or made easily available. I was not made aware of this I just recently order a special order part from orally auto parts guess what? I did not need the part after all and got a full refund. Now bare in mind that any where that you go that has a policy such as this it is posted somewhere in the lobby or you are made aware by some sort of contract with a signature with the policy or at the very least make the customer aware of the policy in person which I was not. Side note i got my truck fixed and the deferential was fine so I did not need it all together at all. But since I don’t know much about cars, or truck. I did what I was asked if I would like to put any down not told I had to buy made it sound optional so I did not think twice I need it let’s do it. He did not say by they way it is special order and it is non refundable and you have an x amount of time to pick it up. If that was the case I would have definitely held off on it so customer be aware that everything is not out in the open or upfront about it. I would appreciate transparency or to be made aware of there policy at time of purchase.
