I am a tenant through Fort Lowell Reality. My roommates & I have been told to live within known health code violations, & have been homeless for almost a month so far while still not receiving our full rent back, accommodations, or any additional reimbursements. To summarize our story: A plumbing issue made us aware of mold. On Feb 29th, 2024, the tenants first asked for a mold inspection. Our landlord brought over a contracting company to deal with this problem and do a "moisture reading" & spray things down. During this visit, they tore down a wall in the bathroom and left an opening in the kitchen exposing the tenants to live mice, thousands of mice droppings, and old traps from the homeowner. To add, our only shower has not been usable since before this date but now there is also a tube down it, the tub needs a new valve, an exposed wall, and an industrial fan/dehumidifier. Still, the mice feces are exposed to our kitchen, and the house smells of mice feces and chemicals. The tenants at the property bought their own mold inspection after two weeks of being told that this house was "liveable" and neglected. The mold professional told us to evacuate the house & that the vendors that Fort Lowell brought to the property did not check the air quality or type of mold to deem this habitable. The professional also told the tenants that the work that took place made the house more of a threat to our safety. The Fort Lowell only stopped the follow-up work after the mold professional called but refused to listen to the tenants previously as they did not believe that we called someone. The tenants & even guests who have lived here have experienced mold sickness and plan to get a blood panel submitted. Very little communication and even invalidating comments from our landlord. We are homeless, working full-time, sick, and trying to receive any compensation for the finances that are being exploited from us utilities they are using to "fix" this too. No living accommodation?

My apartment has been broken into since the first week I moved in . The residents have been braking in on repeat while I'm at work . Graveyard. They enter through my front door . They get the code from the maintenance man . My door code has been changed 3 times . The courtyard cameras don't work and the manager sent me the camera companys number an told me to get them fixed . Than the residents started turning off the courtyard lights so no one can see them enter my apartment. I installed cameras . They started going to my power box an hitting my power to enter . I told the manager how they are entering. He has done nothing. The maintenance man who is giving my door code out . Made sure the court lights stay off an there's a lock on that box and not my powerbox . I do have record of the managers negligence in this manner . Manager just gaslights me and only recommends I brake my lease an move out is his solution. I have nothing in my apartment cause of this . All my important things are in my locker at work. My apartment is empty . Can you please help me with the negligence of this manager please .

I have issues with my maintenance man and the property management company. The installation of the windows is poor and they crack. I closed my window too hard one day and now there’s a big hole. Second time this has happened, my AC is temping at 75 degrees and its set to 60. My toilet is not running properly. And I have been attempting to get this stuff fixed for months but the property management company doesn’t employ the maintenance man he work’s directly for the owner. He shows up whenever he wants, including 10 PM at night. It’s been two months that my window has been open. I have had to move my cat to a different living situation. My air conditioner is set to 60° But only temping 75. And with a hole in my window is getting very hot in my apartment. The maintenance man keeps showing up and not finishing the work or even starting it. I have also been targeted by the owner of this property for an altercation that happened between me and the friend. I believe I’m being targeted by the owner and they are refusing to replace or work on my AC. They are charging me a second time for my window, even though the installation is not good and it breaks. I have suffered for two months in this apartment. The property management company pushes responsibility off to the owner. The maintenance man never responds to my calls or texts. After this amount of time, I should not have to pay to replace the window or pay to get my air conditioning serviced in 115 degree heat

Myself and a seperate former tenant (my neighbor) are being charged an additional month of rent after vacating the premise. My lease ended on June 30th, and I gave notice on April 28th in an email stating my desire to move and to it renew my lease. He communicated back with me saying that he had put in the notice. I left the property on June 17 and left the keys with the property company. I received notice of charges to my account last week, keeping my security deposit and also stating I owed an additional months rent because of lack of a 30 day notice, while my notice was far in advance. I would like the false charge dropped and my security deposit returned to me.

I've lived with my son at the above mentioned address. The management company, doesn't hold true to their advertisements, they don't do maintenance request in a timely manner nor do they take complaints seriously, they tend to take a non proactive stance on the clean up of the property because its smaller then some of their other complex's. it's unsanitary for dog poo to be left out for days. I used to be the on site for this property. Even then, the actual employees of the company didn't answer calls or conduct themselves professionally. At for Lowell's request I stopped performing my duties. because they have a immature female who answers the phone and refuses to provide contact information for management or provide any time frame on when repairs will be made to washers in the laundry room. For your information there're only 3 washers and dryers for 12 units. Of which only one dryer works. The other two are so full of change that no one can use them. same goes for the washers. One of them has been broken for over a month with stagnant water. when I try to do online maintenance requests, my password never works, the same girl answering the phone claims to reset it, and when I call back again or as many times as I need to resolve this I run into the same issue's and problems with her. She tends to get frustrated that I am calling, however a typical conversation with a business' should be clear and concise with information as to what will be done to remedy any issues that fort Lowell is responsible for. they raise the rent and don't put in any improvements. I have some photos. I would call everyday to notify them of these things but as I mentioned, this company has been made aware of issues with the girl they have answering their phones. Instead they wanted me to report whose dogs were pooping to charge them, yet as on site I was not treated with the same respect they seem to think only I should show them. i don't know if anything will be done or if anyone will look into this to investigate. so i have made a copy, as proof of my submission.

I issued the following security deposit refund dispute with Fort Lowel realty, which they acknowledged receipt of and committed to a detailed response in 48 hours. It has been 8 days since that response with no action. Fort Lowel Realty & Property Management, Inc current Property Manager I am sending this letter to officially dispute the inadequate refund of the security deposit from ***** ******** for the rental property at *** ** ********** *** *** *** ****** *** **********. a In regard to the itemized list of charges provided by your company 28 days after tenant move out date of 6/31/22, each is disputed below: 1) A charge for missing window coverings. Upon move in, there were no window coverings provided, tenant had to purchase their own, and of course took them at move out. This is an unlawful charge. 2) The charge for cleaning. The property was in very good condition at time of move out, well cared for, and, As stated in the ALTA: ""Security" means money or property given to assure payment or performance under a rental agreement. "Security" does not include a reasonable charge for redecorating or cleaning." 3) The backyard cleaning charge. Again, please refer to ALTA statement above. As I am sure you are aware, per the ALTA, if the deposit is not returned within 14 days of the tenant moving out, tenant has the right to twice the amount of the deposit. The deposit was returned 28 days after move out. Given this law, I am requesting twice the amount of the initial ENTIRE Security deposit for a total of $1600. To which "current property manager" responded on Aug. 16, "Your written dispute has been received. Please expect a thorough response within the next 48 hours." I have reached out 2 additional times with no response.

Fort Lowell hired this unlicensed person to repair blinds in the house we rent. Once the repair was made, they contacted us, and told us we were responsible for the damage, and that we had to pay the amount due. This is totally incorrect. Nobody in our home had anything to do with the blinds being broken, and if we had, I would have purchased new blinds and replaced them myself. I could have done that for around $60. I told them, in this case, I will pay $50, but they said it's 100% our fault, and we have to pay. This is totally wrong. The blinds defective in the first place, and they broke. Not due to anything anyone did.

I paid this property company on 10 Dec 2021 the amount of $1433 for a security deposit. I was supposed to move in on 10 Dec but to find out this complex has a insect infestation that I was not made known about prior to moving in. I had to purchase supplies to fumigate approx. $22 worth of supplies. In addition to buying these supplies in the process I had lost the single key they claimed to own for this apt. I had to pay $125 for a lock smith on 10 Dec due to this health problem. I have yet to move in I did not move any of my belongings in said apartment due to infestation and was unable to move in due to this place being habitable at the moment. I have no received compensation for any of the above problems.
