Last year, Southern Arizona Rain Gutters, Inc, located in Tucson, Arizona, installed a 876 gallon rain water harvesting tank and gutters on half my house. The gutter system was not installed or connected correctly to the tank so the tank overflowed and caused extensive and severe flooding to several rooms in my home. I contacted Southern Arizona Rain Gutters and requested a refund and compensation for the flooding damage that I paid for out of pocket as my home owners insurance does not cover flooding from outside the home. I have not heard back from Southern Arizon Rain Gutters regarding this matter.Business response

Last year, April 2021, Southern Arizona Rain Gutters installed rain gutters and an 865 gallon tank at the residence of ******** ******** per the design agreed to by Miss ******** and the sales representative of Southern Arizona Rain Gutters. The system was NOT installed incorrectly. We were notified by Ms. ******** in June after a rain storm that her tank had overflowed. The current manager of Southern Arizona Rain Gutters at that time, working with a contractor of Ms. ******** immediately sent one of our technicians out to remedy the situation. It was noted at that time that the primary issue was improper yard drainage. This was acknowledged by the contractor. The yard was sloped toward the house. As a temporary solution, while the contractor re-sloped the yard, SARG redirected the downspout approximately 25' away from the area to prevent any future flooding while the yard was to be addressed by the contractor. Multiple attempts were made at that time to help Ms. ******** who was out of town and very difficult to get in touch with. We heard nothing further until the last few weeks, August 2022, when we were called out to the residence of Ms. ******** to see about coming up with another solution to reduce the water in the yard. The current install manager, different from the original one, visited the home of Ms. ******** to see what SARG could do to redesign the gutter system. He made suggestions to Ms. ******** who proceeded to inform him that she intended to move forward with a suit against SARG. At that time he delayed any further communication though he has drawn up suggested and helpful changes to help Ms. ********. SARG is more than willing to make adjustments to the rain gutter system and willing to help Ms. ********, but is not at all willing to take on the $10K expense for damages that in large part were the result of a yard that was improperly sloped toward the house.
