Renewal by ******** Arizona was contacted by myself July 3rd last year about a crack where the door step lock is located. I was told someone would be in touch to repair. That never happened. I resubmitted my photos, again no response from the company.Business Response

We had an estimate for 6 windows and 3 slider/doors for our house remodel. The estimator showed us pictures of warped VINYL window frames and we stated we did NOT want vinyl. He claimed that Renewal by Andersen (RBA) product called FIBREX was NOT VINYL. He claimed their product was "the best" in the business and had NO problems. So we accepted the estimate and paid a deposit $13,303.00. The estimator told us it would take 3-4 months and the company would manufacture our windows closer to that time- mid June or July. The measuring guy came out on 3/18/2025 and he said it would take 2-3 months and manufacture would be close to that time- mid- May to June. We researched more on *** and found FIBREX is 80% vinyl- so we were lied to. Also saw problems had been found with their frames ****** on the lower window sill. We filed the cancellation 2 days 3/20/25 after the measuring, and sent texts to the estimator, measurer, and company. We talked to the estimator and he claimed our windows were already done. We know that was a lie from what he and the measurer had said before on timing. We never heard from the company and now the estimator says we need to talk to a "leader". We left a phone message and have heard nothing. We want our deposit back because the product was misrepresented as NON-VINYL, which is NOT true.Business Response

2 years ago I spoke with someone trying to sell windows, they had rung my doorbell. I ultimately told them I was not interested in buying anything. They than began calling me every day, sometimes 3-4 times a day and ringing my bell 3 times a week. I have told them to stop contacting me and they continued. Eventually I believe I was able to block all their numbers but after 2 years they continue to ring my bell on a weekly basis. Sometimes late at night. And multiple times with 4+ associates (again late at night). I have put up no soliciting sights (which are enforceable in the state of **), one right above my doorbell, but the harassment continues. If this harassment and intimidation does not cease immediately I will be contacting the police.Business Response

Is this complaint related to Renewal by Andersen? Additional details would be helpful like names of representatives that are contacting you, phone number(s) they are calling you from, etc. It was mentioned that some instances of knocking on the door were late at night. Our canvassing teams do not knock doors late into the evening. We would love to be helpful, but need more information to determine if this is in fact related to our company.Initial Complaint

Our Renewal By Andersen window began leaking in July 2024. We noticed when the wall became soft and the baseboard began to bow. We contacted Renewal By Andersen in August 2024. Initially they sent out a sale ***resentative, not a person to assess the damage. On September 17, a worker was finally sent to assess the situation. The worker did identify that the window was in fact leaking. He left stating that he would send the necessary paperwork to corporate to verify warranty, etc. We have been waiting now and still the issue has not been resolved. No one will give a direct phone number to "corporate" or an email. Whenever we try to contact through the website, a sales *** calls and we go through a phone tree to finally get to a person that says they will "look into it." The answer is always that the paperwork has been filed and they are waiting on corporate. We would like this matter resolved. Is it under warranty? Who will fix the damage and the window? What is the timeline? We have not been able to get any answers. We have not had email contact since October 10, 2024.Business Response

The contractor that originally did the work was not contracted by us - they were a separate and distinct entity from ours. That contractor is ********** remodeling and their info should be on the ** ***'s website.Customer Answer

In September 2023, Andersen windows and sliding glass doors were installed throughout our home. By January, water began seeping under the dining rooms sliding glass door, warping the wood floor and causing visible moisture on the door frame. Andersen sent two **********s who, due to cold weather, claimed they couldnt perform a leak test. They visually inspected the door and said everything looked fine. To address potential issues on our end, we hired a stucco repair company and a mold remediation service to investigate moisture around the door. After confirming there were no leaks from the wall, we reached out to Andersen again. A second ********** could not identify the leak's source, even after testing. Our contractor independently confirmed the door frame was leaking. Finally, Andersen sent a ********** from Phoenix who identified a hole in the outside sill, allowing water to collect with rainfall. Then Andersen sent a three-person team who dismissed the Phoenix **********s diagnosis and argued it was likely a stucco issue. Unbelievably bad customer service. They called me the next day to tell me that after they sent the photos to corporate it was determined both door frames needed to be replaced By late October, we still hadnt heard back from Andersen. After I reached out again, I learned the doors had arrived, but the agent needed additional confirmation for installation and promised to call back. I have yet to receive a follow-up, and that was 4 days ago. This process has been marked by conflicting diagnoses, delayed responses, and a lack of consistent communication, all of which have prolonged the water damage to our home. We request that Andersen urgently complete the necessary repairs on the downstairs door without further delay.Business Response

Our team has been in constant communication with this customer. At this point, they are in fact scheduled for December 20th. While we have both door frames ready to be replaced, in a previous conversation with the customer, she refused to have the master bedroom door frame replaced. We will still be ready with both door frames for the appointment in December.Customer Answer
Date: 11/15/2024
After significant delays and multiple attempts to get a response, it took filing this complaint for the company to finally schedule the installation, now set for December 20th.
Andersen Windows claim that they have been in "constant contact" with us is both inaccurate and incredibly frustrating, given the lack of timely updates or meaningful communication throughout this process.
Additionally, they have yet to address a critical issue: the damage to our wood flooring caused by the leak. Despite repeated inquiries, we still have no confirmation or information about whether they will take responsibility for repairing or replacing the damaged floor boards.
I am requesting that Andersen Windows provide a clear response to the issue of the flooring.

In May We signed a contract with Renewal by Andersen. They committed to giving us a superior product that would be significantly better and more energy efficient and secure. We put down a lot of money and were told the installation would be Thanksgiving at the latest. I tried contacting them to get my install date many frustrating times. In March they finally installed. They windows were incorrect sizes that breathed and whistled bring in dirt and outside air, you can stick a credit card through the windows to the outside, the door handle plates were crooked and looked unprofessional doors leaked but were fixed after multiplevisits and appointments set over and over again. They have been contacted and out leaving the issues unresolved still 5 months to date. It's been inconvenient, time consuming, frustrating, and still the issues remain with still no date to be fixed. We were told at least four visits by *** that the window needed to be replaced correct size put in but visit after visits it's adjusted, the windows leaked bad they were to have correct size flashing installed but tech only caulked the window which is not advised. We seek them to properly fix these issues.Business Response

we purchased 29k of windows in march of 2019 , they have to replace the coils ( outside window trim ) three times & the 2 windows facing the west sun are literally disintegrating , I am worried that when the warranty expires , i will have ongoing issues , I would like a refund so I can purchase windows that will last , I reached out to customer service for a call from a district manager , my call is obviously not important , nobody called me !Business Response

We purchased two picture windows and a French door from renewal by Andersen. Lead time was 6 months, and around 6 months after committing to our project, the installation crew arrives. The windows are perfect, however, the French door has been a nightmare. We ordered a left inswing door, and the installation crew arrived with a right inswing door. Due to the error of the inswing French doors, our screen door could not be installed as the screen was correctly active on the left side. We waited 3 MONTHS for the arrival of the correct left inswing door. A week ago, we finally got the correct door installed. But they did not install our screen doors as they forgot to add that to the work order (after numerous conversations stating that the screens would be installed), and the center beam for the left inswing doors was not ordered. I was told by the installation crew that the problem would be rectified within three days... And that everything would be on rush order. I did not hear anything from Andersen following the departure of the installation crew. I am now stuck with a door that doesn't close all the way, I cannot lock said door, and since the center beam is flipped upside down to accommodate my left inswing door, the installation is wobbly and displays extremely poor craftsmanship. I am beyond livid with the service I received by this company, I demand the completion of this job. I was kind when the first mishap occured, I sat patiently and waited. But a second time messing up on the same exact job? I am far too disappointed to sit patiently. I want my door installed and operating correctly. The safety of my family is jeopardized with a defective door, and the heat coming around the door is going to increase my electricity bill.Business Response

Renewal By Andersen of AZ

TEMPE AZ 85281Customer Answer
Date: 08/13/2024
I purchased windows from Renewal by ******** Windows of ******* in the summer of ************************* September of 2023. There salesman **** out of the ************* had explained their 20 year warranty as covering everything. He even used a bird strike as a reference because I had dust imprints of neighborhood doves on my old windows. Two weeks ago my window was broke by a rock from yard maintenance. When calling the warranty department they state the warranty only covers manufacturer defects. If it's only defects, why do you make it good for 20 years only. No one can explain that to me. I ended up coming out of pocket $2500 to repair the window. **** the salesman finally called me back and is standing by his claim that his interpretation of the warranty covers everything. So either their salesman are intentionally lying to customers or the service department is scamming customers. Corporate has yet to return my calls.Business Response

The install appearance of the exterior door was not fully explained to me or planned by the installer in advance so that decisions could be made. The threshold now presents a safety concern because the install is not as the salesperson explained. The contractor refuses to correct unless I pay more money.Business Response

Renewal by ******** did return to install the trim inside the doors. They never addressed the safety issue of the threshold. I signed off on the project because Renewal by ******** informed me that to correct the safety issue, I would have to pay additional money which I cannot do. I couldn't continue to allow an unsafe situation at the entrance to the home. My husband and I did the best we could with the unsafe condition that Renewal by ******** refused to correct. We remain unsatisfied with the installation of the south entry door threshold.Business Response
