Roman Roofing was contracted to do the roof of the house we bought. He took the solar panels off and his workers asked us if we wanted them put back up after the roof was completed and we told them we didn't know what they were for. So, we told them to put them back up on the roof as they had found them and they did. But they did it incorrectly and we have had two separate leaks due to their neglect. They should have told us from the beginning that we needed to pay someone to take them off so they could work on the roof and find someone to put them back on. They never said this. They did all this themselves. I have contacted Roman and he refusing to fix the issues he caused. There is a 10 year warranty on the roof so not understanding why he won't come and fix his mistake. He keeps telling me he is not contracted to take solar panels down or put them up. Yet, he did the roof and when I asked him if he would have been able to put a new roof up without touching the solar panels he said, No. He needs to come and fix the mess he created. I have to already pay out of pocket to fix the interior in two different places inside of my house. The prior owners contracted him to fix the roof as this was a condition for us purchasing the home. I don't have any *************** as no one gave us anything. I only have an invoice of his materials as that is all we were given by him.Business response

Thank you for contacting Roman Roofing, I am very sorry for the situation with ********************************** and the misunderstanding. As a company we have procedures to follow to resolve any case or claim. When the work is 100% complete, we give each client their paperwork that includes: Receipt, Invoice & 5 year warranty. On the invoice we write and charge for each thing that is done on the roof that is within what my license covers and if there is a leak we ask for the guarantee to fix the leak. When I received the message from Mrs. ******** I proceeded to ask her for the guarantee that she has never sent me until today. Even so, I went to check the roof 3 times and she spoke to me in a very rude way that has been escalating, accusing me of having lowered and installed the solar panels, which is false because I do not have a license to do that, I have never done it with no client and if they had done so there had to be an extra charge for that job. I was surprised when I went back to the property and saw the solar panels installed because she had mentioned that they were garbage, they were installed incorrectly because there was a hole on the east side back side of the house. I told her "The panels are back on the roof" and she replied "You put it back" I said I don't do that and I didn't charge you for it. No company is going to do a job for free, for that reason I am asking her for the invoice which she has not provided. Mrs. ******* must contact the person who sold her the house and ask for that paperwork. She says that my employees did that and I don't have any evidence that this happened, when she asked me to uninstall the solar panels I replied that she had to hire a licensed company to do that and she replied that the panels were garbage and that my employees could done it, I insisted that we do not do that, so she replied that she would hire people from the street to do it.
