      On Sept 30, 2024 I met with a sales person (*** M) from Havana Shades to get a quote for a motorized sun shade for my patio. On Oct 4, I signed the approval for the shade install. On Oct 23, I reached out to *** M to see when he was going to pick up the deposit. He said he would be by on the 24th. He was a no show. I again called him about the deposit and he finally picked it up on Nov 21.I gave a 50% deposit to Havana Shades totaling $2,739.00. Since then I have been ghosted by the company and *** *. It now appears they have gone out of business.

      Good morning,On May 13, 2024 I entered into a contract with Havana Shade at ****************************************. Am invoice 2498 for the amount of $2,512.00 was issued for the down payment. The install was to be six month later November 2024. Since October 2024 I have made several phone calls concerning the status of my shade in production and scheduling an install date. The response from the employee consistently was review your contact. November 2024 I was contacted by Havana Shade to confirm the details of the shade the framing color bronze and the shade color tobacco. I confirmed this was correct. December 2024 I called the office. The greeting from the answering machine stated the company had been hit with the flu and office personnel was limited to one employee please leave a message. The mailbox was full. I attempted to call several times in December. The final attempt the greeting had changed to the company was closed the remainder of December due to the flu.January ******* I called receiving a message the phone number is no longer in service. I checked the web page and the business has been closed!Called ******* Zuckerbergs phone and left a message no response on 31 January 2025

      On June 1, 2024, *** L. *****, H323537333**4323****9Hs owner sold us two(2) exterior motorized shades totaling $10,150.00 for our exterior patio. A 50% down payment was requested and **** *** Check # ** was given to ***** in the amount of $5,150.00. Check #** was cashed on June 3, 2024. See attached copy of cashed check. Numerous attempts to contact ***** were met with negative results. AS of this date the product has not been delivered or installed. We are out of a large sum of money. A complaint with the ****** has also been filed. We have attempted to contact H323537333**4323****9Hs for the past 3 months and they have not returned calls or emails. Other neighbors are also out of large sums of monies taken by *****.

      Havana took a 50% deposit on a $18,000 project. The shades were supposed to be installed in December 2024 and I called today to find out what the status is only to find out calling the telephone number that they are out of business.

      Signed a contract and gave a deposit of $4655 on 1/16/2024. They stated a ********************************************************************************************* early August about the install. At that time they said that the materials were still not available and would get me an install date as soon as they could. I was in constant contact with them until they finally agreed to a 12/17/24 install date. 'The day before install, I was sent a text that the install crew was sick and would not be able to do the work then. I then called back on 12/30/2024 and the message on the answering machine stated that Havana Shade was out of business

      On October 15th (2024), we met with **** ***** of Havana Shade to get an estimate for motorized roller shades for our patio. After talking with Mr. ****** we decided to place an order for the shades, and paid a deposit of $7,500 by check. We agreed on an installation date of April 2025, with final payment of $7,500 upon completion of the job. On December 19th (2024) we received an email advising us that they will not be able to complete our installation due to the owner of Havana Shade (Shade ************) filing for bankruptcy and going out of business. They claim they have no funds available to distribute for refunds to customers, but rather suggested that customers should seek relief through the *************************. ( On December 1st, Mr. ***** left Havana Shade to work for another company)

      My contract for Havana Shade was 5/23/2024 stated ***** weeks to install my Patio Shade, 11/7/2024 was 24 weeks. I paid $2757.00 (1/2 deposit). I have attempted numerous times (phone /email) for updates and now wanting a refund due to their breach of contract. No response of any kind. The sales person I dealt with has been paid his commission and no longer works for the company due to "lead time" being unacceptable. ***** *********, owner and ***** ****, office mgr.

      Contract signed 2.14.2024 for 2 motorized outdoor patio shades by Havana Shade. Contract stated ***** weeks lead time for installation. Horrible communication from ****** after contract signed prompting me to send NUMEROUS emails and make endless calls to get a status update. Each interaction was the same-always an excuse with NO date provided for the installation or absolutely no response. I waited 33 weeks and still no date of when the shades would be installed, so I canceled the contract on 10.2.2024. Owner has withheld $700 from my full refund citing travel x2 for measurements and installing electrical. Nothing in the contract states there are travel fees. The $500 charge for electrical is for the full work which was not done. I was left with 2 holes in my ceiling and wires waiting to be connected. I have found several other complaints online with the same issue of the company taking the deposit and failing to deliver the product.

      08/16/24 - A check for $5,984.50 was given to Havana Shade for order.10/05/24 - I texted the owner, *** *****, who originally came out to my property to do the quote, that I wanted to cancel my order. I did not receive a reply. I then called Havana Shade to cancel my order. ***** ****, the manager, requested that I send an email with my cancellation request, which I did that day. 10/05/24Sandy said canceling would not be a problem, as they just wanted to "keep customers happy and would waive the cancellation fee." ***** said my check would be cut and mailed to me shortly. 10/15/24 - I didn't receive a check, so I called *****. She said the check would be sent in the next few days, but it now has a 10% cancellation fee because my initial order got them a deep discount for material placement, and now I would be penalized. So, my deposit refund would now incur a 10% fee. 10/24/25 - still no check. I called Havana Shade to speak to *****, but *** would not let me speak. Instead, *** said the owners would be in shortly to sign checks but did not know when. This has turned into a scam, and I seriously do not believe Havana Shades intends to refund or return my deposit of $5,984.50 as they've spent it. Now, reading all their reviews, Havana Shade has terrible reviews and complaints of non-working shades, terrible follow-ups on fixing their broken shades, etc.

      We contracted with Havana Shade in April 2024 to install exterior sun screen shades over windows at our new home in **************. The contract amount was $17,397 and the installation was to occur in 20 to 24 weeks (by September). We mailed a $8,698.50 deposit check to Havana Shade April 6, 2024 which cleared April 15.Havana Shade is not responding to our inquiries regarding status of our shade installation. We are concerned about this lack of response. We believe Havana cannot meet its contract obligations. Our last effort to reach Havana Shade was by email September 27, 2024 asked for refund of our $8,698.50 deposit and cancellation of the contract based on their apparent inability to perform. There has been no response to date.
