Do not do business here. Volkswagen dealerships will do absolutely nothing when it comes to good customer service. They weren't ready even though I had an appointment and had been communicating with ***********************. Luckily, the young sales guy helped out as much as he possible could until the finance part came. What do you think they did? Yes, you are correct, they lowballed me for half the value of my car because the battery is "dead". Check out my other review when it comes to the service the Volkswagen in ******* gave me. My car lasted two weeks with a "warranty" battery. It's sat ever since. THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU DONT GO HERE. One old guy even told me AT THIS CHAPMAN VOLKSWAGEN, to leave when I was trying to buy a ***** Civic hatchback with cash!!! Nice work. I have been around customer service and retail for 9+ years now and this was a sad experience.

I bought a car from them and it became our worst nightmare. We found out their was a engine problem and that it would cost $7-9k. My local mechanic found the issue and advised them. Chapman said they would fix it. Keep in mind this was a week after buying or less this came up. They were unresponsive for 2 weeks. Then they sent our car off to a partner of theirs. They covered the first 1/3 but it still had to go back 3 separate times over the next 4-6 weeks. When it comes back it's just the same. Chapman said they would help but when it came time to, they decided not to assist further and to not hold their partner accountable for the work they didn't do. My local shop advised and said it's a big deal and they ignored them to. I'd really question buying a used car from this big name dealer because they don't do thorough inspections. Our car is now a ticking time bomb.

I bought a 2017 Prius in Jan 2021. My niece, who works for another dealership, accompanied me. We had an appt so the car was sitting in front of the office when we arrived. We walked around it many times when we arrived looking at the body, the inside and then took it for a.drive. There were no major defects and it had a clean Carfax report. As they drew up the paperwork we went for food as we had been there several hours and it was getting late. We were gone a total of 20 minutes. When we returned I signed the paperwork, noticing that the salesman seemed nervous, but signed anyway. It was dark when we returned home. The next morning I noticed a huge dent on the passenger side door. There was still grease and dirt in the dent. When I contacted them they said it was there when I bought it. They lied about it. I contacted many people and they all refused to talk to me until I wrote a Yelp review. Then Renate Stienback responded on Yelp that they would resolve the issue. I had previuosly comtacted her and there was no response about the damage. She then emailed me that the salesman had told us about the damage. This was completely not true. She said Jessica Wolf had pointed the damage out. All this is a lie. The damage will take approximately $3000 to fix because it is a major portion of the door that was damaged. There has been no responsibility on Chapman's part except to try to negate everything!
