We have a Tesla. Or Tesla was involved in a minor fender ******. We looked for Tesla approved authorized repair facilities in Raintree autobody was listed. We use our insurance USAA to get the car repaired. Raintree when they repaired the front bumper they did not put it back properly. They damaged the driver side door during the time they were working on it and they did not repair it. We had to take it back to them twice because after the first repair, they install the wrong headlights. They malfunction didnt properly illuminate creating a risk to anyone that drove it. They didnt actually drive a car to ensure that it was operating properly. When the insurance company went back to them to ask for their help to realign the front bumper properly, they stated and I quote We will no longer be working on our car. So now my car is in worse condition than prior to the accident because the workmanship by the shop was unacceptable and they refuse to fix it.Business response

When **************** brought his vehicle in for repairs it came in with an Aftermarket bumper cover on it.
We explained to **************** that Tesla does not stand by or endorse the use of Aftermarket parts. The reason being is that the fitment of these parts is not the same as factory OEM parts. We explained to the customer that we cant stand by the way an Aftermarket part fits and functions on his vehicle. The customer insisted we use the Aftermarket part anyways. We tried to accommodate the customer but unfortunately our concerns that we expressed to him were accurate and the Aftermarket part does not fit properly. Aftermarket part suppliers do not have the same quality control as do OEM manufacturers. They cant copy them 100% or that would be a copyright infringement. Even the same Aftermarket part can be different from one another because of this. Not everyone fits the same. The headlamps on the other hand were Tesla OEM parts. They make two different types of headlamps for his model of Tesla. All parts are ordered by VIN to help ensure the correct parts get sent for each particular model and option. Tesla acknowledged their mistake in sending us the wrong headlamps and thus corrected the problem with the customer at the dealership.
The only correct why to fix the bumper cover problem is to install an OEM bumper from Tesla. That would require buying an OEM bumper, painting it, and installing it. **************** decided he did not want to pay to have this done.Customer response

The business neglects to address the further damage they caused while in their care. See the pictures attached.
The after market bumper fit upon arrival. It was aligned showing minimal panel gaps. Now one side is flush while the other is *****. The shops workmanship is substandard and we are at least owed compensation to repair what they damaged.
