I paid DCR Painting via personal checks upfront, He had promised to use quality paint, I discovered it was the lowest grade of paint from Home Depot. He started in an empty home and gave me price based on what work needed to be completed. FIrst Day was 2/25/22. I was not happy with some of the work and responded that it would be taken care of. During the 7 days he worked at the house , was working alone with his son due to an injury he had and was on a scooter. I did not question his ability to get my home done.Once job was completed there was overspray and touch ups on some of the work, He came back 3/23/22 to fix the french doors and some touch up, due to his limited moving ability, No way he was going to do the ceiling overspray and line up the wall to ceiling, so I reached out 5/6/22 to find odut when he would come back, said not healed, on 7/16/22 I reached out again and he responded with" my house is a peice of shit". then apologized, saying he has no help and would offer a refund or pay someone else to fix the issues, he said spent a whole day touching up. not the case, also stated he would pay a handy man, so he cacn keep his word, I have not heard from him and looking for resolution to refund half of the cost to pay another company to re do the work. I have enclosed his messages to me* ******* *******, *************  This is my 2nd attempt to get this matter resolved, my next step would be seeking legal resolution

The first week we painted the exterior. The following week interior was scheduled. All of your belongings were in the garage and the flooring company scheduled to work the Monday after. The weekend between the exterior and interior painting, our employees quit. We decided to proceed with the project as to not let you down and ruin your schedule. There is no possible way to find quality employees in a day,but Dayton knew with long hours and hard work, he could complete it.We finished the interior except for the final touch-up.It was agreed upon that we would do that once the flooring was complete******* returned for the final touch-up.The only touch-ups left are up the stairway, a few on the upstairs ceiling, and a couple on the balcony. You told him to return when he was off the knee scooter. He had 2 surgeries since your project which prevented him from coming******* didn't want you to have to wait any further so decided to offer to pay a handyman to finish the minor touch-ups.He tried calling to discuss, but you didn't want to talk. We never ask our customers to pay upfront. We don't even ask for a down payment. You decided to pay upfront. For paint, we used what we felt best given various factors such as age of home, sunexposure, amount of drywall nail holes. We used Behr on your exterior which is the #1 rated product in America-Consumer Reports. For the interior, we decided to use Glidden Multi-Pro which was the best to hide all the nail holes in your walls from the last 30+ years.I am happy to say that we are running at full capacity again******* is off the knee scooter and we have a great crew.We have been painting in the valley for 17 years and take great pride in our work.I am sorry you feel otherwise. We have 2 options for resolution. We can send one of our employees over to complete the touch-up.He has 20 years experience and is detail oriented.Or we can offer you a refund of $1000.I am sure you will find a handyman to do the touch-up for much less.

I would like to be clear on what was discussed over text wit* ******. As well as to what brand of paint was used. When he came to do the touch ups, he was only able to do the French doors and some downstairs paint. In a closet where the old paint was coming through.  That is when I questioned the quality of paint. He admitted and I also checked the gallons left behind . Personally took them to Home Depot and they confirmed was one of the pg lowest they had, only one that was Glidden was the doors due to primer. So that is incorrect what paint they used. As for me not answering the phone call, no one would accept that type of language and be okay speaking to an unrational and un professional person. When you say I said to come back was clearly not in a position to do any corrections on anything he could not since was limited.  The downstairs also has high ceilings with corrections. To finish as well as outdoors paint is peeling and areas missing a coat of paint. The workmanship is not  to standard.  So I would like to see the new crew come in and do all the corrections. Where celings are uneven eight he wall. Re paint some ceiling over sprays. As well as areas in the outside. All I want is for it to be professional. I also want the paint to be replaced with what was promised Behr, Dave and Edwards, was the reason I choose DCR.

Glidden and PPG are the same brand.  Sorry for not being clear about that.  Our Glidden paint representation told us that the interior paint we used is best for hiding because there was so many imperfections to the walls due to the of the age of the house and previous patching. That is why it looks good besides a couple of touch-ups.   We stand behind our decision on the paint. We never promised Dunn Edwards and it was not in our contract.  When we gave you a bid over a year prior to you accepting the proposal, we had been using Dunn Edwards. That bid is only good for 30 days.  I told you we changed paint brands before we started.  You were fine with it.  Please accept the $1000 for the touch-up so we can both move on.  We have painted thousands of houses and we have not had any problems or complaints.  I don't think we will ever see eye to eye on your project.  We have tried to work with you, but you asking us to re-paint your entire house with a different paint brand is unreasonable and ridiculous.  You will make money hiring a handyman.

We may not see eye to eye, while I agree the paint description was not on contract.  I went based on previous estimate. On the quality and professionalism I will not accept the $ 1,000 until I have been given an estimate from them. Foe now I would like your company to send a team to get the work corrected, as the walls and celing do not have a smooth finish. That was expected after you primed the ceiling and should not look like it does. Plus overspray and , some of the kitchen celing is showing the old color come thru. The outside is peeling in some of the pillars In the back as well and lots of areas it was not painted.  Please follow up with a time and day you plan yo come out and do the work. If handyman charges $1,000 , I will inform you. If it's more , as well.
