After filing a homeowners claim for roof replacement, I had multiple companies come by for quotes/estimates. (The insurance company sent me $9,274 after deductible deduction) After missing the first appointment and rescheduling, **** with Arrow Roofing came to the house and wrote out an estimate for roof and fascia replacement. He was very adamant that they would work with the insurance and even noted on the estimate that we would ONLY pay the deductible. The quote for the roof was for $12,000 and $1,800 ($13,800) for the fascia boards. After choosing Arrow Roofing to do the work a new, finalized contract was sent with a new total of $15,150. The same handwritten paragraph in the middle of the page describing what work was to be done and homeowner responsibility being ONLY the deductible was there. Understanding that having exact measurements and product cost is what could have increased the cost we signed the contract in March and put down the $4,000 deposit. After multiple calls it was finally scheduled for 5/16. Work was completed and the workers told us the boss would be by later for the remaining balance. No one ever showed up. The next day we went to the office to pay the balance which was now $15,290. Received our $0 balance invoice, then had to purchase a magnetic broom to clean the nail and mess left behind. A few days later we received a new invoice with a balance of $3274 with a handwritten note at the bottom that the insurance gave a new estimate on 5/1. We were never notified of the new estimate, even though it was apparently known 2 weeks prior to the work being done. I have now sent 3 emails to the company over 3 weeks with all invoice copies requesting assistance and clarification. The insurance company never sent me another check for this "new estimate" and I have already paid an extra $6,000 over what was covered by insurance. There have been communication deficits since day 1.
