I entered into a contract with *****************, proprietor of Sit Well Upholstery on 8/29/2023 for the reupholstering of 2 wingback chairs. When the work was completed and the chairs were delivered to my home, I noticed that the finish on the legs of both chairs was damaged. I brought the problem to the attention of the delivery person who assured me he would notify the owner. I called ************ the next day to inquire as to whether he was aware of the damage, and asked him when someone would be available to perform the repairs. He immediately raised his voice in a pugnacious manner, vociferously stating that the chairs were over 20 years old and how could I expect him to repair prior damage. I attempted to explain that he did possess pictures of my chairs, and although the chair legs did exhibit slight wear, they were not to the degree of deterioration present when they arrived at my house. (I was required to send a front and side image of one of the chairs to his website so that he could furnish me with an estimate of how much the re-upholstering would cost.) Instead of checking the photographs as any reasonable business person would do, he instead chose to clamor over me, interrupt me, and label me as a prevaricator. He then declared that he could not "deal" with me, and abruptly disconnected the phone. I am respectfully requesting that ************ send a skilled employee from the furniture refinishing section of his business to my home to repair the damage incurred by his business. After the volatile telephone exchange I had with the owner, I do not feel comfortable with my furniture being in his possession ever again. If possible, I would prefer that an employee of **************** business contact me as to when the repair work will take place. Please peruse the uploads and note that I enlarged the pictures I sent to Hall so an examiner could clearly see the condition of the legs of my chairs prior to being reupholstered. I contracted with Sit Well Upholstery, ******************************************* to reupholster my sofa. I chose fabric during an appt at my home and once the fabric arrived, Sit Well picked up my sofa which is 8ft with 10 cushions that included two arm cushions. This happened in late May 2022 and the sofa was returned mid-June. I paid a healthy deposit and paid in full when it was delivered. The work was excellent, the fabric beautiful. HOWEVER, my two arm pillows were missing. I called to check on them and had to leave a v-msg. No one returned my call. I emailed ***************** who purportedly is the owner/manager, no reply. I called again and *********** was quite rude telling me how busy they were. I explained no one had contacted me to give me an update. According to ************, they had to order more fabric and would get it done once the fabric arrived. I don't know if they mismeasured or he was misleading me with a standard response because Sit Well did not pick up my sofa until they had the fabric and they had photos and measurements of the entire sofa. It is now a month after my sofa was delivered and I am getting the runaround as to where my two arm pillows are; Seraphim, who works there, told me he would check on it; next he talked to my husband and said the pillows were done and when workers were coming our way they would bring them. No delivery so after several days of waiting we decided to pick them up. We spoke with ******** today who had no clue. When she called Seraphim he said he misunderstood and didn't know where or if they were done. Completely unacceptable. They have ALL of my money and I do not have ALL of my sofa, which by the way is an antique by now as it was purchased in ****. Sit Well needs to find and recover my cushions quickly/make new ones to the measurements they have. I should also be getting a partial refund. The actual upholsterers do great work, the office has a huge communications problem and has resulted in lousy customer serviceInitial Complaint

Issue: Sit Well Upholstery, ***************** Furniture/Owner **** quoted me a specific fabric and did not use fabric qouted and agreed upon. Used cheaper fabric. Qaulity of service and workmanship is beyond poor. Chair and sofa were picked ** in Jan and not delievered until May of this year. Numerous excuses and delays in timeline.Date of transaction: Qoute details approved 6/2021, Deposit paid 1/17/2022 partial balance paid May 2022 Amount of Money paid $1,750.00 Commitment business made to you: Slipcovers to be made for couch and chair with White 100% Cotton, 12oz.
