      I was referred to Jack the Roofer by a neighbor, who highly touted the business. However, I have found service to be completely lacking.In May of 2020, we had a small job done. In recent months neighbors have had a lot of roof issues. The original repair in 2020 included a 5 year guarantee. So I asked for it to be checked out. Here I am over 3 months later with no response to emails, phone calls and texts.The lack of service is disturbing.

      Thank you for the opportunity to respond to your customer service request. Please note that when we are asked to re-inspect a property we include it in the first opportunity that we are in the general vicinity. Occasionally, this can be a matter of a few days to a few weeks, but given the priority is a general inspection of the roof. If a customer has a leak it is our first priority. According to our service records, we have been out to reinspect on a couple occasions and found the roof system to be in good condition, however we did perform some minor maintenance as a courtesy to you as a customer. I spoke with you recently, after I received a message from you. In fact, I inspected your roof, the same day. You have some minor hail damage to the roof, which is normally not part of our warranty, however I told you we would repair as a courtesy. Also, the main problem noted, during inspection, was the walls of the 2nd floor are not properly sealed. I recommended a sealant and repaint, as moisture is entering through the cracks for the exterior walls and causing issues with the materials at the roof to wall union. As explained, sealing the walls is outside of our scope of work .I apologize that an earlier call was missed, but your review above does not reflect the fact that when you contacted me via email, we responded the same day. I believe that this response and quick inspection as well as the commitment from Jack The Roofer to provide servicing of your roof, even though the minor damage is outside the scope of warranty, may not be reflected in your poor review. I hope you consider your opportunity to reevaluate the situation and review now that you have all of the information. Best Regards.

      What a great company. They responded promptly and professionally. Communication was very good through the entire job. The workers came and worked steadily. Very happy with the price and value for the amount of work performed. I would recommend them anytime.

      A strong word of caution if you are considering Jack the Roofer for your roofing project. He was hired by my general contractor to build a roof for an addition to our house. Before his crew left the site, they explained to me they would need to return later because they didnt have the proper material to finish. Several days later, **** told my contractor the crew had returned and finishedbut two security cameras clearly showed no one had returned and done any work. Unfortunately, a week or so later it rained and the roofwhich was not properly dried inleaked in five places. His crew finally returned to finish the job, hopefully properly. To top it off, **** then refused to provide me or the contractor with a written warranty after approximately six requests to do so. I still dont have one. I urge you to find a reputable roofer and avoid Jack the Roofer.

      After posting my review in April 2022, Jack the Roofer's office manager called me offering a refund for overcharged fee's. A month passed without receiving a check. I called the number back and the office manager ****** out at me and accused me of harassing her in which she later apologized. I called again another month later and she said that their checks were stolen. Six months have passed since they offered and still no refund which speaks of their true nature. Review. "Beware this company for crooked practices. They were quick start the work. Installed different colors, texture, and styles of cement tiles. in addition, failed to paint exposed replaced wood. Returned two months later to address the punch list only after withholding the balance due. Dated every invoice the original invoice date to appear as if I did not pay in a timely mater and billed me $5/day in late fees tough their contract doesn't specify the late fee amount, siting the Prompt Payment Act." 04/28/2022.Jack The Roofer Response. "Sub-contractor changes have been made in the last 30 days to assure that these problems will not re-arise for any customers in the future. We now have a 24/7 phone ************** that guarantees response to any and all questions or requests for estimates no later than the morning of the next business day. Any questions or problems with jobs in progress are addressed immediately, including evenings and weekends. **** himself now handles all estimates, and his office staff is equipped to help you based on your schedule. In regard to "late charges", it is not the policy of Jack the Roofer, **** to ever charge a late charge on a residential/private party invoice.       Do not use- terrible experience. Poor communication, unfinished work, harassment, threats. Company struggled to communicate with us. Calls/texts went unanswered for days/weeks at a time. JTR did not replace some of the foam they were supposed to, calls & texts to the *******, went mostly unanswered, & whenever we did get a reply, it was only deferring that the ******* would find out more information -answers about this issue, to this day, never came. We became increasingly concerned, texts & calls to the office, the *******, & the owner went unanswered. At this point, the company stopped getting back to us completely. After weeks of no response, we contacted our credit card company to dispute the payment as JTR charged our card, without the work being finished & without authorization & would not return our calls. Weeks later, I received a text from the *******, asking me to call him. At the same time, my wife started getting harassing voicemails, texts, phone calls, & emails from the office manager because they were notified of the disputed charge. The office manager called repeatedly back to back, leaving threatening voicemails, *************** She threatened to pose as a client & leave fake negative reviews for my wife professionally. The office manager threatened that she, & the owner were going to come confront my wife at home, shout to all the neighbors that we do not pay our bills, & that she was heading down to my wifes office so that coworkers & supervisors will also know. The office manager even called my wifes boss, screaming & cursing. I called the ******* to work out the payment if I could find out if the work was completed & if my issue from early July had been addressed. Throughout the day, as we discussed the harassment from his office manager, roof needs, & if I was able to count on them for their warranty. The office manager recharged our credit card. As soon as they recharged card the ******* stopped communicating with me. roof is unresolved

      Company lacks the ability to communicate and takes forever to respond. Came to replace my roof which was leaking. After roof replace my leaking now in new spot of home. They havent come out to fix the problem. Its been at least 2-3 months. **** is trash. Says he will be there on a Wednesday and is not. Still have roof issues had to go through someone else. They take your money and run. Highly recommend avoiding them. They dont deserve to be accredited by the BBB. If you want a trash roof with trash people these are your guys!
