      I spoke to Alyx on 3/1/23, he came out on or around 3/7/23 to provide an estimate to fix the flat portion of my roof. I tried reaching him several times because I had not received the estimate in my email. We talked again on 3/14/23, received estimate, on 4/4/23, the offer was accepted, I reached out again on 4/11/23, 4/13/23, because I had not heard from scheduling and the deposit had not been charged to the credit card. I tried calling the main office number 9 or more times from 3/8/23 to 5/1/23 (when calling from ****** the number can be changed for tracking). The $1750 deposit was charged on 4/14/23, still hadn't heard anything from anyone - they sent an email stating they'd file a preliminary lien on the home incase we failed to pay but still nothing is scheduled. The lien letter has never arrived. I finally got in touch with someone at the main office on 5/1/23, advised we wanted to cancel the contact and receive a refund because we're tired of waiting and nothing is being done. They advised it was being cancelled and a refund would be provided shortly. On 5/4/23 men showed up at my door advising they were with Diversified Roofing and were here to inspect for the job, I advised we canceled the contact and would not be doing business with them. **** called to discuss and I explained I'm uncomfortable with a company that does not follow up on it's commitments and that I do not feel right using their company for such an important job. There appears to be NO internal communication because things are not scheduled with the customer, cancellations are not processed, and workers are dispatched to cancelled jobs. I called them again on 5/1723 because the refund has not been received, I was advised "I don't know why our controller hasn't released the funds yet but it will be done by the end of the week" The money still has not been received. I left a message today but no one called me back. I need the money back, we've been paying interest on this charge as well.

      I am sorry you have a bad experience with our company.  We have cancelled y our contract and your refund was processed and mailed to you over a week ago, you should have your refund by now.

      I have already looked into the breakdown of communication on our end and like you I am disappointed in what happened on our end.

      7 years ago we paid to have a roof installed through Diversified. They (unknowingly to **) failed to finish the roof. For the past 7 years, every time it rained it has been leaking into our house behind the walls. On 12/23/22, during a cold snap we had a burst pipe which while in remediation exposed the roofing problem. A separate roofing company came and instructed me to reach out to Diversified as the roof was clearly missing counter flashing. I called ******** she failed to call back. I called ****** and was never called back. I emailed *********************** and finally received a call. He instructed me to send photos from the other roofing company. He then stated he would call back the next day by 11:00. He failed to call. I called him and he said he would call back by 5:00. Yet again Diversified failed to communicate. I called back, ***** stated that the general manager, *************, wanted to come to my house and view the damage. **** never showed and I was given no reason. They failed to follow through. Operation manager, ***********************, showed and looked at the damage. ***** stated that leaves caused the leak (leaves were located is a different location than the actual leak) ***** stated I never called them back to finish the roof (but then also stated they couldnt even figure out what crew installed my roof). They have NO proof I didnt call. Their records are lacking. They repeatedly lied about the missing counter flashing being purely decorative and wouldnt of stopped the leak. ****** searches and me contacting the second roofing company proved that was a lie. They said they would complete my roof by 1/19/23 they failed to show or communicate. An employee told me leaves didnt cause the leak but a ***** pan. They refused to fix the inside damage stating I never called them to finish. I have repeatedly called and tried to get resolution. They have repeatedly failed to communicate and failed to follow through. Their accusations that I never called are baseless.

      I am sorry you are having problems with your roof.

      Your roof is years past a warranty period.

      due to the fact that it is way past it warranty, you can have anyone 

      do corrective work on it.

      This is not a warranty issue. The roof was never finished. This is a breach of contract issue. I paid, in full, for a complete roof and never received that. No counter flashing, which is required on my roof, was ever installed.

      This is the 3rd complaint we received like this over the last year or so that claim some kind of identity fraud.

      And like the others this is not a customer of ours and we have never done business, nor do we have any information

      on a Mr *****************************.  

      Is there anyway to not let these fraudulent complaints get sent to us and waste our time???

      This complainant is not a prior or current customer of ours.  This is the second complaint like this we have had in a short period of time and seems fraudulent in its own way.

      Diversified Roofing installed our roof when Beazer Homes built it for us. After moving in, we had a significant amount of tiles blow off in a storm. Diversified Roofing sent a field supervisor out to repair the roof and he told us that Diversified did not follow code and DID NOT NAIL DOWN THE COURSES OF TILES AS THEY SHOULD OF. Meaning rows of tiles should have been secured by nails. He said our warranty would be extended and that Id anything were to happen, Diversified would stand by their work and fix it. In February, a significant line of tiles on our roof had become unconnected and a gap had appeared. We have REPEATEDLY tried to get this resolved. We have asked for the owners email or contact information. No one will provide it. Diversified sent a tech on 7/09/21, he stated to my wife this should not be happening. We didnt hear back, so I called Diversified on 7/23, and was told I would get a call back. Heard nothing from Diversified. Called today 8/2, no response again.

      The facts of this roof are as follows.

      1. This roof was finished in Jan **** and holds a 2 year workmanship warranty, which we are now 14 years past.  There is no effective warranty on this roof a this time.

      2. We never extend warranties we simply fix any warranty items as needed, and that are with in the 2 year workmanship warranty enforced by the ROC.

      3. Tile roofs need new underlayment installed between 15 and 20 years which this roofs life is now at, in other words it is time for you to reroof your roof.

      4.  We did have a tech come do a courtesy inspection, his recommendation is that this roof have new felt underlayment installed at this time.

      5.  The picture of the roof you sent in the complaint is storm damage and no roof warranty will ever cover storm damage.

      6.  Nailing of tiles, the roof nailing pattern per the code on a roof of your style and pitch is to nail tiles within 3 feet of any perimeter, ridge, rake and hip lines.  This is called picture frame pattern and means all the tiles in the middle of 

      most roof decks are not nailed.  Although this point is mute as there is no active warranty I just wanted to explain this.

      You can clearly see from my email correspondence/trail I have been trying to resolve this for 7/8 months! This is not recent monsoon damage. Think about the time that had passed since I reported this to Diversifed in FEBRUARY. It took them until JULY to send someone out. That alone should speak volumes about the customer service they have shown my family.  I have asked to speak with the owner and nobody would give me their contact information. We were 100% told by a Diversified Supervisor our roof was not installed correctly and a extended warranty was exactly what we were told we hadand if the roof tiles stated to slide AGAIN, the roof would be repaired. The roof tiles are sliding off the roof and are separated in different areas. This is not from storm damage. Please look at the dates on our emails. Look at the photos provided. We are not trying to get anything for free, we are asking for what was promised by Diversified. Diversified is a huge company and this would be a small repair job. I cant believe its taken going to the BBB to try and get Diversified just to do right by the homeowner and stand by their workmanship. Please, if you can get this to the owner, we would appreciate it.

      ********************************************, just so you know I am the owner and I was the one that responded to  your original complaint with the BBB.  The reason you aren't getting any other responses from us is because you are not willing to pay for the repair that is needed on your roof and we are not willing to come do a repair that is not covered by any warranty.  We can come repair the roof tiles that have moved and are represented in the  photo you provided in this complaint for $425.00.  I am willing to do the repair at cost and offer a 20% discount off our price which would mean you would have to pay us $320.00. Please note this would only be a cosmetic tile repair and would not extend your warranty in any way and we would not be responsible or be taking any other liabilities on  your existing roof.  Your roof underlayment is in need of being replaced and we would suggest you do this sooner than later with any roofer of your choice.  We would like to get to a resolve that is fair and I feel our proposal is indeed fair.
