As many others my home insurance sent them over paid 125 for then to come out to inspect my toilet. On the initial call i told them the ****** is broken and needs to be replaced. They scheduled an appointment from **** window. Get a phone call around 1 that they wont be able to make until 2-4. *** shows up reeks of cigarettes. Looks at the toilet, sees the bolts are bad says i need a new ******. I tell him you dont say. Then he leaves. My home insurance then approves the ****** to be replaced but dont cover the extra 175 that this CNJ is saying that i need extra repairs. I run to *********** Spend 20 on a new ******, 18 on a new wax ring, **** on a roll of town, 20 on 100 pair of gloves. 30 minutes later i am done. This company is horrible, they take advantage of the home insurance sending them overReview from Ra K

I am very frustrated with this company and can not get hold of the company owner who is not responding to me. The ***** who takes the calls stated I don't need to know his last name All I wanted to do is get in contact with him and let him know how I feel about the service I got. He deserves to hear that. She acted very fishily. I did not like that and did not like the service at all!CNJ Services Response

This customer is a home warranty customer. CNJ was dispatched through the home warranty to access the situation. The hall bath toilet was the one that was having issues. At the time of service ***** ran an auger through the toilet and pulled back roots it seemed that the stoppage at that point was cleared. Obviously there is a break in the line somewhere and roots are getting into the sewer system causing these issues. We reported all of the above to the home warranty company. The home warranty company denied any further labor for this customer due to the presence of roots. No insurance company will cover issues arising from roots in the sewer system. We suggested running a camera for ****** which the customer would have to pay as the warranty will not cover that. Also we sent the pictures to the home owner of the roots in the line. We understand that the customer was frustrated with the fact that roots are not covered. As we stated before no insurance company will cover for roots in the sewer line.Review from Max D

This is my story with ***** and CNJ Services. I have a rental in ******* and a home warranty company called American Home Shield. My tenant calls me and says there is a leak under the sink from the garbage disposal. I place a work order for a disposal leak because we're not plumbers but we know that is where the leak is. They send a plumber and he proceeds to repair the leak coming from the garbage disposal but tells my tenant that the leak is from a stoppage in the pipe. He also tells my tenant that there isn't a cleanout under the sink. He said it's probably on the roof and that his company doesn't have the tools to do that and we would need to have a cleanout installed under the sink. cleanouts are never inside your home they are outside just in case of a backup your home doesn't flood. How a plumber doesn't know this is beyond me. He calls AHS and tells them the job is done and he gets paid to put a band-aid on the main issue. ***** from CNJ asks me if i was there when her plumber told my tenant that he didn't have the right tools insinuating that we are liars. Well ***** you might have a case if not for the hundreds of other customers with the exact same tired lines of how cleanouts aren't under the sink and are on the roof and that's why you can't clear a stoppage. Along with the other horrible reviews you have on ******* You should be stripped of any license you have and reported to the police for fraud. How you have been in business this long is a miracle. AHS refunded me my service fee and sent out a real plumber who knows in ******* our cleanouts aren't under our sinks inside our homes! They're outside where they belong.CNJ Services Response

Clean outs a re a code requirement under any sink toilet and drain fixture (ie washing machine, utility sink). What this customer is talking abut are the main clean outs. But current codes require clean outs on all lateral lines as main clean outs only service the main line not any of the branch lines.Review from PAUL L

BUYER BE ****!!! Please review all the feedback and reviews for CNJ Services. There are numerous reviews out there for the same over-priced and un-necessary modifications they wanted me to complete. They were the Plumbing Company dispatched by American Home Shield, for a leaking water heater. They determined that the water heater had to be replaced and started the claim with AHS. Sent an invoice for an additional $1019.00 in modifications that had to be completed before they would install the replacement water heater. After talking to them and AHS, NONE of the modifications were required by local building codes. Even though these were optional modifications, they would not complete the service without completing the $1019.00 on additions. Would not provide a breakdown of Materials and Labor for the installation that they stated would take approximately 2.5 hours. Did get estimates from other plumbing companies and they estimated $280 to $350 for the same installation/modifications.So lessons learned:AHS did cover the water heater replacement, but I had to take the cash-out option as you cannot request a second opinion form AHS.CNJ Services made $175 to come to my location and spend 10 minutes validating the water needed to be replaced. Then added on the excessively priced and un-needed modifications and services.Review from Rene G

Scam of a company sent over by my home warranty. They came out and replaced valves for my washer but along the way they damaged my wall and also the valves housing. They claimed they were not responsible for it and that I had to pay separately to get it fixed. The supervisor was very disrespectful and not professional at all on the phone. I am currently disputing charges with AMEXReview from Stephane M

************ takes advantage of home warranty contracts to add on unnecessary "modification" costs under the guise of meeting city code. Other licensed and insured professionals confirmed this is a scam.Review from Lee S.

I had a pipe that needed repaired bad contacted ******** **** ****** to have a company come out and address the issue. Turns out the problem was not covered under the warranty so the company charged $375.00 for the pipe. I went back outside the following weekend and noticed the pipe was leaking so I called and left a voice message for the company they called me back on Monday and informed me they would be back out to make the repair which I had to take off work for them to do and they made the repair. I never got an apology for the error and when I called to ask for a discount and informed the person on the phone of the issue she said there was nothing they can do the bill is what it is. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no. I would give a zero star review if I could but I cannot. I will never use the business again.
