I found a doctor on ****** who said they accepted my insurance. I booked an appointment and saw the doctor twice. They called and verified my benefits while I was in the office. I paid my copay. The dates of service were 7/11/2022 & 7/20/2022. Then a few weeks later I received a bill for $459.00. When I called they assured me that they had billed the services incorrectly and that in fact it was in network. That I didn't need to pay the bill. Now, over a year later I am receiving the same bill commenting that it is severely overdue. No one from the office is calling me back. They advertised themselves as someone who accepted my insurance on zocdoc and then verified my insurance why I was there. They told me not to pay the bill and now are billing me again. Please help me get this resolved, BBB.

How bad was my experience? So bad, I had time to write this. Mind you I am supposed to be a NEW PATIENT. NEVER HAVE I EVER BEEN TO THIS PLACE and thought that ****** would’ve gotten it right. Anyways today I had an 8am appointment and arrived on time. Walked in – had no greetings from both the STI Therapy and Rehab front desk and the John C******** MD (Location: 1941 W Guadalupe RdMesa, AZ 85202). So I stand in between the desk for 2minutes before one of them realized “oh he must be needing help” which I did as soon as I stepped foot into the building but moving forward, I then sign in and didn’t get seen until 8:40am when I had an 8:00am appointment. Next, I go and do my evaluation – doctor comes in and not the PCP I had scheduled to see which was supposed to be Dr. John C********, DO. I was NOT notified before I even checked in or after I verbally said as I got up to the front desk and signed in that “I am here to see be Dr. John C********, DO”. So Im pretty sure they had enough time to ask me if I wanted to continue to stay then before seeing someone else. Nevertheless, I wait for 15minutes after talking to Dr. S**** Lambert, DC (who should never be a doctor and close to it) who then proceeded to exit and took 20minutes to comeback for the phlebotomist – Raul. As Raul came into the room he then asks me which arm to prick, he keeps tapping my veins as if you can’t see or feel them at all. He then prepares my right arm and wraps it with the rubber, but I told him “maybe you should make this tighter” mind you I have been to the doctors for the past 25 years so I would know if they are wrapping my arm tight enough or not. Anyways, he then pokes me with the needle and the point of the needle was halfway through my skin and air was coming out and then guess what happens next! My right arm/vein starts splattering everywhere since the needle was never into the vein all the way and I bled out and he says “oops” as if this was just a small mistake. As I bleed out, he immediately rubs the alcohol on it and I say “that shit burns” and he replies with no apology for making my right arm bleed out. Next I kindly say – “you know what that’s okay, you if you cant find the vein on my right arm try my left”, Raul goes to my left arm and guess what he does! This Phlebotomist goes into my veins and busts the left vein and I am now in pain and I immediately told him to get out of my arm because at this point my vein swollen up since now I am getting a blood clot on the left arm and he says “do you want the doctor instead”. Doctor comes after 5 minutes and says “oh that happens all the time” and asks me “are you afraid of needles?” and I respond “yes”. Normally for the past 25 years since I have had my arm pricked by needles by professionals never have I ever needed more than 1 needle since my veins are pretty amazing. (Images below). Moving Froward - Dr. S**** Lambert, DC then says “do you want me to do it instead” and I say “well you’re a doctor so I would think you would at least know how to”. He then goes into my right arm -again! Where Raul pricked and bled me out and as he injects the needle he then realizes he never got to my veins and MOVES THE NEEDLE TO THE RIGHT INSIDE OF MY ARM TO GET TO THE VEIN! At this point I am so traumatized and in pain on both arms he says “we can try your fingers if you want”. Sir, you went into the most easiest veins and now you want to go to my fingers? In my head “You’re a doctor. You and the Phlebotomist Raul are supposed to be I don’t know “qualified” enough especially if you’re going inside of my body with a needle”. And I kindly say “No, I am done for today”. My thing is both the doctor and the phlebotomist were not qualified for the job and they were not even confident at all. I mean the doctor had no idea what PREP so im not sure how he got his doctorates probably in an uncredited and or outdated university. And for the Phlebotomist – sir DO NOT EVER go on anyone’s veins ever again unless your confident and you actually know what you’re doing. Dr. S**** Lambert, DC kept on saying “oh it happens all the time to patients, we usually have a better one on Thursday so you should come in on Thursday 5/20/21 so we can get the rest of the 6 glass tubes of blood from you”. FYI both the Dr. S**** Lambert, DC and Raul the Phlebotomist never apologized to me for their mistake. But they did want me to schedule a Thursday appointment for the rest of the 6 Glass tube of blood needed from me. Sir, there is no Thursday for me in this awful place. You made me so uncared for, disenfranchised, and you went into my body and brutalized my arms and you expect me to come back? I don’t get it. This specific doctor should not be practicing medicine and this Phlebotomist needs to either find a new gig and or re-train. This facility is a risk to so many people especially the NEW PATIENTS like myself who came to this place on 5/17/2021 at 8am.
