While the outcome of the work was acceptable, this company's service was poor.Despite a 20-week lead time, the work plan was not in place. The job was pieced together week by week delaying the final product and impacting quality.Original cabinet install was to take approximately 5 days. It took 9 weeks start to finish.Owner had to request many components to be finished and touched up; for example, panels were missing, and some boards were left leaning without even being nailed in. Contractor failed to find and install new sinks in master bathroom as outlined I contract. New sink/counter in hall bath was installed, but not a great match with cabinetry and took until the 9th week of the project.Contractor demoed columns without due diligence in understanding structure of home. Despite recognizing there was electrical wiring in second column, completed demo and took out cabinetry and granite countertop.Because of removal of columns, project was extended as columns had to be rebuilt. Columns were rebuilt to simple standard not equal to quality that was originally in place.Flooring in main living room now has 4 non-matching tiles due to lack of planning on part of contractor. Tiles had to be removed and re-laid - still some mismatched tiles in main room.General customer service was poor. While the office tried to communicate at first, there was little communication from the head supervisor and many delays/no-shows. This led to increased frustration over time. The work was pieced together, took nearly 5 times as long as promised (despite a twenty-week waiting period up front), and the customer had to continually review quality of work as it was seemingly haphazardas clearly indicated by the laying of mismatched tile in the middle of the floor.Lastly, when the supervisor left the invoice, it was incorrect. They had charged us extra for the sinks instead of subtracting them. Additionally no discount despite not removing columns.Canyon Kitchen Cabinets LLC Response

I have copied the customers comments here and inserted our replies within her comments. While the outcome of the work was acceptable, this company's service was poor. Despite a 20-week lead time, the work plan was not in place. The job was pieced together week by week delaying the final product and impacting quality. Original cabinet install was to take approximately 5 days. It took 9 weeks start to finish. Owner had to request many components to be finished and touched up; for example, panels were missing, and some boards were left leaning without even being nailed in. We do apologies for the delay in the completion but there was a plan in place but there were several delays for some cabinet mismeasuring, finding ducts/vents/pipes in the columns, getting sub-contractors scheduled.Contractor failed to find and install new sinks in master bathroom as outlined I contract. Customer had top mount sinks in their stone we looked extensively for replacement sinks even calling our distributors to find sinks that would fit into the current hole but was unable to find any, we deducted the amount charged on the contract as refund.New sink/counter in hall bath was installed, but not a great match with cabinetry and took until the 9th week of the project. Customer wanted white or a vein type countertop. We went thru our boneyard of material and sent them pictures of what we had and they said the slabs looked fine. Contractor demoed columns without due diligence in understanding structure of home. Despite recognizing there was electrical wiring in second column, completed demo and took out cabinetry and granite countertop. Because of removal of columns, project was extended as columns had to be rebuilt. Columns were rebuilt to simple standard not equal to quality that was originally in place. We rebuilt the columns in the same manner/standard as Demod. We fully removed one column but 2 columns did have ducts/vents/pipes in them and could not be removed. For the two columns we talked with the customer and rebuilt them smaller instead of the original full size. Flooring in main living room now has 4 non-matching tiles due to lack of planning on part of contractor. Tiles had to be removed and re-laid - still some mismatched tiles in main room. The floor tiles were to be pieced in from the removal of cabinets and the columns. The customer told us that they had the tiles needed to use. We used what they gave us and the installer didnt see that 4 of the tiles were a different color when installing them. When it was noticed the customer said they didnt have any other tiles so we called around to our distributors and could not find any that would match. The only solution was to create a pattern with the 4 tiles that did not match which we did.General customer service was poor. While the office tried to communicate at first, there was little communication from the head supervisor and many delays/no-shows. This led to increased frustration over time. We try for good customer service and called or emailed the customer when we had updates both before and during the job. We will take the comment and work harder on our customer service. The work was pieced together, took nearly 5 times as long as promised (despite a twenty-week waiting period up front), and the customer had to continually review quality of work as it was seemingly haphazardas clearly indicated by the laying of mismatched tile in the middle of the floor. As said earlier yes we did take longer than anticipated but did work to get it done as fast as we could. Lastly, when the supervisor left the invoice, it was incorrect. They had charged us extra for the sinks instead of subtracting them. This was a mistake on our part which we agree should have been caught before printing out the invoice. When entering the deduction on the invoice the minus sign was not there so the amount was added not subtracted from the invoice but as soon as it was pointed out it was corrected.Additionally no discount despite not removing columns. As explained to the customer not totally removing the columns was because of unforeseen ducts/vents/pipes which could not be moved. We did move all of the electrical and other pipes. We gave the customer options and made the columns as small as possible since some of the items found could not be moved. We always strive to do our best and welcome comments from a customer to help us improve where needed.
