The reservation agent took my reservation and I thought all was fine. Then I looked at the confirmation email. He made the reservation for that day instead of the date requested. The reservation was non-refundable and the money was taken out of my account. Not only did he make it for the wrong date, he charged more than was quoted for the room. Now I have to fight to get my money returned because I am being told i did not use the reservation I had made.Review from Jonathan L

I paid extra for their "reservation insurance" which I thought that it would take care of any cancellation that might be needed and it was. I needed to change the location of our stay to a different Best Western but they told me that they could not do that, they could only cancel my reservation and I would be out the $600. If there were a zero-star review that is what Best Western Stevenville should get.Review from Andrea H

Best western *******, has the worst customer service! I accidentally booked a room for the wrong night. First they couldnt move my booking to the correct night, nor would they give me a refund, so the stole 95.00$. They did offer me an opportunity to book for the correct night at the discounted rate of *****. What a bunch of crooks. Will never stay at another Best Western again.Review from william j

I had a problem with a best western Indian oak hotel and the best western corp was as bad as the hotel they never emailed me back after several complaints were sent and refused to refund my money.Review from Susan A

We were evacuated due to Hurricane ***. I made a reservation through Expedia for two pet-friendly rooms. Just prior to arriving I called the hotel and was told that no pet-friendly rooms were available. I explained the situation to no avail. We could not find any vacancies due to the hurricane and had to sleep in our car for two nights.When we returned home, I saw that we were charged for the rooms, even though Best Western turned us away. I called the property and spoke to **** who was very rude. He told me it wasnt his problem and to take it up with Expedia.The Expedia rep let me know that the hotel had to approve the refund. He put me on hold while he talked to Beat Western (BW). When he returned to the line, he told me that BW refused to approve the refund.I explained that we didnt cancel this reservation and that BW refused us a room.The rep put me on hold while he contacted BW and then came back on the line saying they again refused. He had spoken to *********I asked the rep to hold while I called BW from my husbands phone. I again got ****. He called the Expedia rep a liar, and told me since he talked to me already he was not going to take my calls again. I asked for the manager and was told the ** was not there.Since I had the Expedia rep on the other phone, I put both phones on speaker to create a three way conversation. **** continued to be extremely rude. He was nasty with the Expedia rep, stated that he would not refund my money, and said these things were never handled over the home. He refused to tell me the **s name, told me that he was not wasting anymore time on me, and said to take it up with my credit card company. I will NEVER use Best Western again. This behavior was so unprofessional and downright mean.Review from Leonid S.

I book a night in Best Western in advance but an emergency situation happened when we vacationed in ** and I have to adopt the dog from a local shelter. I learn about restrictions on dogs in Smithfield Best Western hotel but can not change the booking because it was done before the unexpected event and was non-refundable.In this situation, I kindly asked the representative and his supervisor to refund it to give me chance to rebook a place in a pet-friendly hotel.I believe it is a courtesy of a hotel chain with a good reputation to do a favor to a customer in an unpredictable situation like mine. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Especially if youre a single woman!!!! I literally just had to call ************************ to get a personal ****** out due to the owner/manager (*********************) walking into my room while I wasnt wearing any clothes! He was knocking saying Maintenance and proceeded to walk in even after I told him I was not dressed!!! All of this to say- I paid for a night and I was being told to leave even though I was told I didnt have to check out until Monday at 11am. Its still Sunday and currently only 1pm. I dont know what he said to the police, but they said I couldnt file charges on him for entering anyway. When I was leaving he was trying to say we just were worried about her like they needed to do a welfare check or something. FALSE. I told him I was nude!!! Ill certainly be speaking with an attorney. Do not stay somewhere where a man runs a business where he can just walk in whenever he wants like that!!!! Oh! And to put the cherry on top- the woman at the front desk named **** called me to harass ME TO LEAVE afterwards and hung up on me when I told them they shouldve just charged a second night instead of sending a MAN into MY room while I was NAKED! And you know she knew, because she said well there was a blanket! Maam!!! Of course I grabbed a blanket! You had a GROWN MAN ENTERING MY ROOM!!! Neither one of these people should be able to work in customer service!!! Especially a ****** like *********************! How do you know there arent cameras everywhere?! Im so shocked right now. Worst day ever. I regret choosing this hotel to stay at, and never will stay at a Best Western again!!!!Review from Christina J

I booked a king size room on their website for a family wedding, and this is where my father booked his room. . I got double charged for the 1 room.I reached out to the reservation department and was informed it would take **** days to be reimbursed. It has been 11 days and have not been reimbursed for the double charge for the same reservation which was over ****** plus ***** process fee.Review from Cassie W

Where do I start?!? I was told the room would be $60 a night from the best rate guarantee, THAT WAS A LIEI had to stay for a job and was told I would pay$1,030, when I got my bank statement I was charged $2000I was LIED to, and SCAMMED..it would be different if the room was amazing, but with mold on the walls, the smell of smoke, the disgusting carpet, and the loud, leaking fridge, and getting locked out of my room 9 times, it was not worth $139.when I found a cheaper price I packed my things and was going to another hotel, I wasnt going to pay $139 a night, but I was told they would honor the price I found, again, LIE!! But I trusted them, unpacked my things and stayed like an idiot.Im upset, angry, and now of course short $1000, when I asked the manager he said nothing I can do they dont honor their word, they lie, and they treat you like your dumb, I use to really like it here, but this is INHUMANE, im contacting every single person at BW until someone makes this right.I was all packed up and ready to go, and they lied to me to scam me..Ive been at BW for a job, but they took my whole paycheck, so I basically paid to work.I have a do not disturb tag on my door, but the maids walk in every morning, I take out my own trash, go get my own towels. I vaccum my own floor, dont eat the breakfast, the tv *****.I tried to make their job easier, then they take my entire paycheck.I sleep here for a few hours, and shower, cant even eat my food I buy.and I tried switching rooms, apparently they are all booked up..I hope something is done about this, because I have a family JUST LIKE THE PEOPLE THAT RUN BEST WESTERN!!!! Im not the type to complain, but this is horrible to treat paying guests this way!!!Review from Steve S

WE STAYED AT THE ******** ** BEST WESTERN AND NEVER NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!! Our vacation from HELL!!! The key doesn't work to open the door. There was a car parked on our parking spot. There was a black out when we stayed. And The HOUSEKEEPER STOLE my daughter's ******** Switch and left early for the day. We filed a police report and talked to the hotel manager. Hotel manager was a JOKE!!! He didn't do anything to help us but instead he protected his THIEF EMPLOYEE!!!! He didn't fire the thief housekeeper and said it was our responsibility even if it happened inside the hotel room and hotel premises. How could you steal from a kid and that was a Christmas present from santa. My daughter was really really sad and it broke my heart. These people are heartless human beings!!! And never even offered a refund or compensation. SO MY ADVICE IS NEVER NEVER STAY HERE!!! YOU'LL BE STAYING IN HELL!!!
