Government Actions
Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct:
Arizona State Bar v Gregory Meell

The following describes a government action that has been resolved by either a settlement or a decision by a court or administrative agency. If the matter is being appealed, it will be noted below.

On November 18, 2021, Gregory Meell entered a Final Judgment and Order with the Arizona State Bar. The Final Judgment settles allegations that Gregory Meell filed unmeritorious pleadings that were unprofessional and inappropriate in his pursuit of a dismissal on the merits after his client died. The pleadings also contained unnecessarily demeaning language and ad hominem attacks on opposing counsel by providing definitions of the words “must” and “by” and alleging that the prosecutor made false misrepresentations to the court. Under terms of the judgment, Mr. Meell was placed on one year of probation, ordered to complete at least six hours of Continuing Legal Education at his expense, and pay the State Bar's costs and expenses of $1,200.

This action is final.
