On may 19, 2021 I paid 3,744.43 to have my car fixed not only did I pay on this day I also had to returned my car 30 minutes later because it wasn’t fix. My warranty was supposed to cover any damages that’s done to my car if it was from their work and my engine is damage because their work.Business response

Vehicle was towed in after overheating. We repaired a coolant leak. After our service, a valve seat failed. (We know this because we assessed vehicle when it returned smoking after 22 miles.) We warranty everything we do; however, there is no relationship between our work and current concern. Nothing we did affects vehicle’s current malfunctions; furthermore, the preponderance of our service had nothing to do with the engine.
We invested hours to determine what happened. Technician found in addition to smoke the CEL, BAS and ESP MILs were illuminated, and vehicle had misfire. P2066 fuel level sensor 2 performance and code PO513 present for sentry key immobilizer module (SKIM) stored in ECM. These are consistent with preexisting conditions diagnosed and reported to customer. Misfire was new. Customer authorized appropriate testing. Technician found the spark plug in cylinder #7 was wet with fuel. Monitoring engine vacuum revealed erratic fluctuation; however, vacuum was in normal range. Discovered engine vacuum is bypassing PCV, and crankcase is being pulled down into engine vacuum. After receiving customer’s approval, we removed the intake manifold for inspection. Found # 7 valve seat broken off, a portion sitting inside the intake runner (suspect portion is stuck inside the cylinder.) We recommended replacing engine. We did not charge anything for these procedures.
The conclusion is there is no relation to the work we performed. If he believes there is, he may be able to exercise our warranty through another facility, we provided the claims number: ***** ********. Though we had offered to credit his cooling system repair and oil change to the needed repairs we respectfully decline further service. Our relationship has been irreparably damaged by the customer’s cousin who destabilized our relationship to a level that police were contacted.
