  Science care is completely unethical -my mom died recently -my sister's had her enrolled in Science care and put a false address and phone for me so noone would contact me. My mom died on January 11 at a memory care facility from neglect of a serious infection. No police, REMOVEDor coroner saw her body, and within an hour science care had transported my mom to a funeral home for about 2 hours, and then transported her out of REMOVEDto REMOVED. Since they transported her without notifying me- outside of the REMOVED, the REMOVEDpolice department could not investigate her wrongful death. REMOVEDofficers have no jurisdiction in REMOVEDand REMOVEDofficers cannot investigate a crime that happened in REMOVED. I called science care several times and told them I wanted photos of the infection on her legs that killed her -my case manager REMOVEDwas very rude as was an upper level manager and they said they would not take photos or allow me to send someone to take photos- as I live in another state. Therefore this company that did not have my permission to take my mother's body allowed her murderer to walk free to one-day kill another innocent senior at that assisted living facility. Science care should never move a body until all surviving children are notified, or at least until a police REMOVEDor REMOVEDhas documented the death. This is a shame ful and cruel company that let my mother's killer go free.

  The Business response does not change what it did. or even tell me what happened to her. The damage was already done they removed my mom from the city where she died to another city immediately without my consent or knowledge and interrupted any ability for me to find out what really happened to her. No body should be moved unless all of their adult children have okayed it and had their chance to get a photo of or visit the parent their behavior toward me was detestable and they need to change their policies to not exclude family in this manner. No body should ever be moved again without consent of all of their children.

  I am deeply sorry for the loss of your loved one.  It is important to note that the donor themselves, their power of attorney, and/or a spouse all come prior to adult children in a consenting class and therefore in many cases consent from Adult Children isn't required.  Any questions about final arrangements should be directed to the REMOVEDof REMOVEDas Science Care didn't proceed with donation.  Please take care.
