Please be aware of fake reviews, the same photos of the pool in the review by ******** in ****** was used by a ***** in Yelp. Different person, different photos, different name, different reviews, same pool. They clearly pay people to offset the negative reviews. Don't fall victim like I did...Search the *** by first and last name and see the qualifying party, ***, previously owned a company that had three disciplined cases with the *** and a Revoked License. STEER CLEAR of this company. I think since *** took over this company went downhill. Poor workmanship, breaches of texted agreements, employees drinking on the job and leaving beer cans, kids cutting feet on uneven surfaces, gashes to the interior, stained grout, mismatched grout, splattering all over our yard, trying to increase prices after you agree to bid and pay, terrible decking job, false promises, just too much to list but I think our BBB complaint explains the worst of it: Description of Complaint: A dispute arose regarding the quality of work performed and Budget Pool Renovations placed an invalid and unlawful lien on our property. They were notified by our attorney that they were violating ******* state law which requires a written and signed contract with the property owner in order to file a lien on an owner occupied property. They had no such signature or contract. ******* state law also states that they have no longer than six months to enforce the lien which would force the home into foreclosure, they failed to do so because the lien was invalid and would have been thrown out in court. After their six months expired, by law, they lost their lien rights but they went down to the county and placed another invalid lien that is unlawful, groundless, and unenforceable. They are now engaging in paper terrorism and clouding the title to our primary residence which prevents us from selling or refinancing in order to bully us into paying for something we disagree with and that they refuse to fix.

The ******* in the above post is ********************************* and her husband Saleem Dooh. They hired us, Budget Pools, to finish their pool remodel. ******* fired the first pool remodel contractor for not being licensed. This should have been a red flag that ******* could not be trusted. ******* paid a $2500 deposit agreeing to pay more once work commenced. We moved so fast that the job was done in weeks. We tried to collect the balance of $13,569.00 and she launched into a litany of tiny items she was not happy with. We fixed the punch list items one by one. Still refused to pay. She shut off all communication. We were forced to file a Mechanics Lien $13,569.00. Anyone can do a county records search and see the lien is still recorded on her legal description address ************************************* *******. ********** parcel number Lot 14 POWER RANCH NEIGHBORHOOD 2. It's a public record. These people do not pay their bills.

The items were not "fixed one by one" in fact when we gave them an opportunity to fix SOME of the issues because they were not willing to fix everything, they proceeded to make things worse, they stained our pool with grout and fixed tiles under the waterline which caused them to fall off hours later and stained the bottom of the pool with grout, it was only after maliciously making things worse that we refused to let them back on our property, but after filing an unlawful lien, we gave them one more opportunity to redo the work that they did improperly in an effort to be done with the situation, they felt emboldened by their lien and refused while expecting us to pay for a job that was incorrect, and incomplete, looks terrible, and did not match to what we agreed upon, even though we have their text messages making false promises and we provided sufficient evidence that they breached our written and verbal agreements in terms of the scope of work that was to be performed, voided the warranty the pool was supposed to come with and didn't follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the decking installation or complete the sides as we requested multiple times in writing.
