***** has been a nightmare to work with. First of all it's nearly impossible to contact them by phone, it goes to a message line and they never return your calls or emails. My insurance paid out all the money necessary for my roof to be replaced and I signed over the checks to uniag because I was using their contractor for the repairs. Well come to find out they only paid the contractor a portion of the money and now they won't answer any of my calls or emails (as usual) so I have no idea where the rest of the insurance money is. I even talked to the contractor and come to find out he hasn't even been paid by uniag for previous jobs and has even paid for materials out of his own pocket and was never reimbursed by uniag. I've been in this process now for a year and I'm at the very end of the process, all the money has been paid by my insurance, the contractor knows my roof needs to get done, but uniag will not pay him to fix my roof and I have no idea why. All I want is my roof done so I can never have to deal with this company ever again. I have no idea how they're still in business or how they get away with this. Stay away from this company!!!!Initial Complaint

UNI HAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF MY WIFE AND I, BOTH SENIOR CITIZENS. After multiple attempts to reach them through various outlets, we were not able to make contact with anyone. After filing a complaint here, they promptly sent us a check wich fell short of the total funds due to us. UNI kept $5,385.96 wich was promised to us from a grand total of $8,403.63 due to us in order to go with our own contractor to complete the damaged roof repairs. I have attached the details as was agreed on by UNI. The check comments stated that the remaining funds returned to us was the remaining amount after their fees. Thats alot of fees. They offer no further details. UNI Adjusting Group LLC may have closed their doors for business but these people could still be operating in this same field under a new guise. The public must beware of the names of these people involved wich can be found here under UNI business management information.Business response

Hello,
If you look at one of the documents the homeowner sent over with his complaint. It stated depreciation released once completed. Meaning you need to complete the repairs to your roof and submit that information to your insurance company and at that time they will release the depreciation owed. We have no control over the depreciation, nor do we have those funds. This was explained multiple times and as you can see from the document the homeowner attached outlined to him.
We received a total of: 4551.23+1647.85+600 = ******* in checks
******* minus ******* equals: $3797.67 minus 975 (tarp check homeowner never signed that was owed to Dual pro for tarping.) $2822.67, this is the amount the homeowner should of received from us. But instead we ran the number in a different way to benefit the homeowner more.
RCV: ******** - we did not add the tarp to this amount and took less fees.
Fees we took: *******
Checks we received: 4551.23+1647.85+600= *******
******* - ******* = ******* minus 975(tarp check homeowner never signed that was owed to Dual pro for tarping.) equals $3017.67 that amount the homeowner received.
If the homeowner calls the insurance and submits photos of the roof being completed the insurance will release the depreciation. I have attached the estimate for your records. The deprecation total is: $5010.96 plus the tarp check they never signed in the amount of $975 which equals: $5985.96. Again, as previously stated and informed to the homeowner multiple times, they need to contact their insurance for the deprecation.
If you add the depreciation plus the tarp check plus the amount written to the homeowner you will have a grand total of: $9003.63. Which is $600 dollar more than the document they attached has written own it because we gave the $600 dollar deductible that was paid back to the homeowner.Addressing the original complaint that was filed the homeowner stated he called several times and was unable to get ahold of UNI Adjusting. He also stated he called the **** number and could not leave a message as well as emailed us.
We have not received any emails, missed calls or voicemails for this homeowner. The **** number is my personal phone as well and they never once called. I attached a photo of our email addresses searching from the homeowner email address: ************************* as evidence.
At this time all funds to homeowner has been paid and all complaints have been resolved. They need to contact their insurance company for the depreciation.
I would also like to note we are not closed for business and have someone answering phones Tuesday - Friday 9am-1pm & 2pm-3pm
Thank you & Have a wonderful day!

I have tried repeatedly to follow up on our roof repairs and have recently visited the *** office in **** ******* just to find out that the office has been vacated. I called many times before and left messages but never got a call back. During the summer of 2021, *** received full payment from our insurance including required personal funds to get the process of replacing the roof started. Last fall I visited the office and *** offered to return the funds or wait for roofers to become available. We opted to wait and after multiple attempts we have not heard from anyone since then. I have left many messages on the **** ** office number to ***** and *** but was not able to leave a message on their ************* number. I have also recently emailed *** twice. Please reach out to me at the email provided or call. If you can't provide a service promised then please write back the funds owed to us in order to replace a much needed roof.Initial Complaint

I started working with uni adjusting group over a year ago to file a claim with my insurance and get my roof fixed. The insurance approved the claim and issued a check for around 4000$ which they brought over for me to sign and they would keep the funds to use to fix the roof. The claim was only approved for half of the roof so they said that if I wanted they could make one more effort and try to get more funds for the entire roof. I said go ahead. They said that would take about 3 months. That was more than 6 months ago. I have tried to call them and left many messages and they do not return my calls or answer the phone, so I am not sure what happened to the money from the insurance for the first half of the roof.Initial Complaint

The company had a sales person come to my house last year. I was told 3 months they would be able to fix my roof. I had co tact with them and they said I was on the schedule. The work never happened due to wood price increases and they needed to renegotiate their deal. I waited patiently. I called them again back in October. It took 38 calls to get them to answer. They said I would have my check in a couple days. They would drop it off. Never happened. I can't get a hold them as previous complaints said.Initial Complaint

In June 2021 I signed an agreement with *** to contact my insurance carrier concerning roof damage. My insurance company issued a check 7/13/2021 for a partial payment for damages and on7/26/2021 ******************* took ownership of the check. The last time I heard from *** was the end of October. I talked to ***** on 1/13/2022 at that time he said all adjusters were out with COVID but he would talk to them and have them contact me. I have never heard from anyone since I would like my check returned. ***** is one of the *** employees that initially contacted me and gave me a business card with his personal phone number the company phone goes directly to a recording and no voicemail is available. I have no other recourse but to contact BBB because no one at *** will contact me and I need this situation to be resolved.Initial Complaint

I originally contracted with them in August 2020.to deal with my insurance co (( Farmers) for a new roof as I needed it for solar. Farmers' adjuster came in Sept and Farmers paid all in Dec. and I kept getting put off if when the new roof was coming. Every month it was the next month. UNI said- per *******************-that they were having problems with their roofing company and later offered for me to self contract the roof and they would give me the insurance money. I did and more delay and then the check was in the mail and then they would have to issue a new check. Now it is 2022 and still no communication. Phone calls are unanswered and no replies to email. Farmers sent an email asking for a status report and no reply there either. My patience has been stretched to the limit and I would like this resolved.Initial Complaint
