On January 16, 2024 I contracted with westwind dental, located at ***************************************************************** for dental work to be done. My insurance covered most of the work. I paid an additional $1,532.08, with Care Credit. By 4pm on the same day, I decided not to have the extra work done. I called the dentists office and spoke to ****. She assured me the charge would be credited back to my account. Since then, we have called numerous times and have been assured the money was being refunded. We have talked to many different employees. The money has never been refunded. The amount to be refunded was adjusted to $1432.00 to cover the cost of bleach, which I did have done. I spoke to the dentist herself at my last appointment and she was apologetic. I said I couldnt keep returning when this was resolved. In addition, there was three separate crowns made for the same tooth. These crowns were unacceptable but thats NOT my complaint at all. Our last contact was today. We were told at my appointment on May 21, that the refund would be sent via email on Friday, either May 24 or May 31. It was not sent on either date. I called and spoke to the latest office manager ***** today. She had spoken to my husband earlier today and said it was processed. She said to check the junk file in my email. I did this. The refund was not there. I called and informed ***** it was not refunded. She said then it must be next Friday when it will be refunded.I said we have heard that before. She proceeded to shout and say she was not going to be talked to that way. She wasnt part of the problem. Then she hung up on me. We desperately need your assistance. We have been polite and patient. We have not shouted or been offensive. If the practice wont refund the money and wont take our calls, we have no other recourse.Initial Complaint

On December 20, I visited Westwind Integrated Health at ******** in *******. I was concerned over potential insurance charges based on this visit due to overuse of services and was assured that the treatment I was receiving was covered. I paid an additional $75 for fluoride treatment. Two months later, I received a bill due to lack of coverage from the insurance company. I filed a claim with my insurance company, and they assured me that the claim was due to the overuse that I was concerned about. They assured me that the claim would be settled upon payment. They even verified the dollar amount. I chose to take the easy path. I paid the fee and closed my account, since I had learned that I could no longer trust them.Today, I received a message saying that I still owe $31 on this closed account for a claim that my insurance company says is settled. I am asking that this charge be reversed and all future contacts cease.Initial Complaint

I had 2 temporary crowns placed at Westwind dental ******* ****, at the ******** location on 12/26/2023. My next appointment was set for January 16th 2024 to have my permanent crowns placed. Before that time I received notification from my insurance company saying that they needed more information from the dentist office in order to process these particular procedures. Knowing this information when I came in to the dentist office on the 16th of January I told the ladies up front that my insurance company had contacted me telling me that they needed more information from them about the procedure. I asked them is there a way that I can get in touch with the billing office or is there a way they can get in touch with the billing office how is this handled I've never had this issue before. At that point they said they didn't know any information about a billing office they didn't know who worked there they didn't know who was in charge of that they didn't know what I could do. So I asked them if there was a office manager that I could speak to about it? By the end of my appointment I didn't really have any information they just said that they would further my question to the office manager whenever that person came in. When I went home that day I sent a message through ******** at Westwind dental maybe hoping that the billing office would see that message and get in contact with me. Finally at my next appointment one of the ladies up front told me that they spoke they did speak to the office manager and that the office manager would speak to billing and that they would take care of my situation I said great I figured it was over. Then today I received an email from billing saying that I have an outstanding bill which was the portion that insurance did not take care of. This means they never did reach out to my insurance company when I was begging them to.Initial Complaint

I began the process of denture in March of this year.I had all my top teeth extracted expecting to leave with temporary dentures that I paid over $1000 for after the extractions the temporary denture did not fit my mouth. I was sent home without teeth to have the temporary fixed and returned the following day. I was called back two days later to come get the temporary, which I did. I was completely unsatisfied with the denture as the teeth were too small..after specifying that I wanted larger teeth to match my actual teeth, again I was sent home with the temporary to return Monday to have the temporary remade to fit my mouth.I went another week without teeth having to return to work. When I was called to pick up the third temporary I was still very unsatisfied with the denture, I was told that I would have to deal with these for three months until I could be fitted for the permanent denture. . I returned to the office three months later to be fitted for the permanent denture this went on for a couple months and many fittings, with nothing fitting my mouth until I lost faith that I was going to be happy with the end result .I began asking for a refund the first of November I was told by the office manager ****** that she would be diligent working on my refund.. she was dealing with the insurance company and the refund with them which was completed the second week of November she then told me I would receive a full refund within thirty days..which I have waited after calling several times to the office after not receiving refund within the thirty days I came to the office today to speak to someone about my refund a phone call was made to ****** to discuss this refund and I was told I would receive refund by the end of today through email..this did not happen.. it is now nine months since I started this process in which I am in constant pain and discomfort.I am looking for reimbursement for what I have paid for and not received so that I may continue this processInitial Complaint

I have ********************* I had my cleaning schedule for SunCoast Dental in February. They did the cleaning and when I went it was still SunCoast Dental. A few days ago I get a bill for the cleaning from WestWind dental. I had no idea who that was. I called and they said that WestWind bought out Suncoast and that WestWind is not in network. I explained that is not my problem as I have insurance and they should have billed it in Feb as in Feb they were suncoast and I was in network. Today I called to cancel my appt with them for August as now I have to change dentists. They said it would be $25 to have my records changed over to the other dentist office. I said no that is not something I signed off on as that is a policy of WestWind not suncoast. I need my records sent to the new dentist as the insurance company will not pay for xrays 2x in a year (If they actually bill them) and they are MY records going to another dr. I am not asking to have them for myself. I spoke to **** and she was super rude and not helpful at all I am not the only person having issues. They are getting ****** review after ****** review about thisInitial Complaint

7/20/22 and 8/10/22 at Westwind Dental ******* - Thunderbird , ******************** , Glendale AZ.I am not getting a refund for services I paid upfront for and they later got reimbursed by Met Life Dental . According to the Met life *** statements and the billing receipts I should be getting $ ****** back. I called westwind 20 times since Sept 2022 and they been unwilling to discussing my account with me. They keep referring me to "regional" managers who never return my calls. For my wife on 7/20 I paid by cred card 747 for a crown which a week later westwind was reimbursed ****** by Met Life. Taking the 3 charges out (41 for oral eval & 15 for imaging on 7/20, and a later oral eval on 8/10 for 28 ) leaves ****** credit due back to me. For myself I have paid on 7/20 ****** for a ***** previous balance and 125 lower right scaling on that day. Met Life later paid ***** for the Lower right scaling. On on 8/10 i had upper right scaling done which I owed dentist for ***** as met life paid ***** of the 125 charge . So the refund on myself should be 15 dollars. Therefore the total refund should be ****** on me and wife. Westwind only offer ***** saying on 4/4 phone call there were "other materials" that cut the refund. They never specified "other materials" in the claims to Met Life Dental. Westwind is engaging in insurance fraud in that they accepted working with Met Life Dental but are backdooring charging me ouside the *** statements as reducing my refund.Initial Complaint

We made a payment for services using a care credit card. It was determined that a credit of $400 was due to be issued back to the card due after the treatment plan work was completed due to an overpayment. I have been waiting over a month for the credit to be returned to me and have been getting the run around ever since when I contact them regarding this issue. I am also awaiting a refund for a permanent crown that was placed twice by the dentist which is not in fact permanent. After the second attempt by the dentist to install the permanent crown he determined she needed to see a specialist due to him not being able to secure it properly due to fitting issues. I was charged for and paid for a permanent crown that will need to be removed and replaced by a specialist. I have been following up on this issue weekly sometimes multiple times a week and have yet to get any answers as to the amount that will be refunded to my card. This establishment is extre Hard to get ahold of and has given me the run around each time I call. I need assistance with making progress towards these issues so that our money can be retuned and our daughter can see a specialist.Initial Complaint

On 7/11 I went to Westwind Dental for an emergency consultation, for Tooth pain. The diagnoses revealed that I needed a Root Canal. I was given a estimate that My insurance would cover the cost except for $100.44 for the anesthesia.Upon returning for My next Appointment a different Lady whom said She was an office manager, exclaimed that I had to pay $471.00 for the Crown. I told Her that I was told during My consultation that the crown was paid for, She said I was told wrong. She said if I didnt have the money I could apply for a line of credit through ******. I was in so much pain still I applied for the credit & was approved. I then found out through My Insurance Health Choice with AHCCCS the crown was covered. ****** said Westwind Dental would have to cancel the account since They initiated it. On My next visit 8/8 The Ofc manager Blancaverbally confirmed She can cancelled the account with ******. Which is not True, ****** is still seeking payment from Me.Westwind Dental is fraudulently having Patients open accounts for payment even though services are being paid for through Your insurance. I need help with having this account closed with ******, Through Westwind Dental. With Your help of course.Thank You,*******************************
