Do not finance anything with Sunwest. They are here only for the money and offer no help to their customers. God forbid you loose your job or go through any hardship while doing business with them. You will become worthless to them without money or in a tough situation. Their customer service is subpar, it takes about 30 minutes to talk to someone if youre lucky. Be prepared to call a few times because youll get hung up on 2 or 3 times. I have been to 2 locations here in AZ and have had the worst experiences. Which led me to never want to step foot in there again. The people over the counter will look at you like if youre are stupid. They are very nonchalant and rude. Dont even get me started with the fees, literally for everything. This includes making payments or asking for extensions. Lastly, their app is garbage and seems ****** complicated for the few features it actually has. Be prepared for it to be down most of the time.

The Bank Manager is a harridan and should not be let loose around people. I had a very bad experience dealing with her. I was told in no uncertain terms that she would not allow (!) her tellers to call my former bank to get funds, despite the fact that this bank is part of the sharing FCU program.As a result, I was planning on setting up an account there. But after dealing with her, you'd have to hold a gun to my head and prove it was loaded before I'd even enter the bank.SunWest Federal Credit Union Response

We have not heard back regarding this review. However, we reached out to branch staff who were able to identify that this interaction became hostile, including verbal abuse toward multiple SunWest employees, as well as the host credit union's employee over the phone. As mentioned in our previous reply, Shared Branches have regulations that must be followed, and this request went beyond the capabilities of SunWest through the Shared Branching network. Due to the verbal abuse, SunWest has filed a notice with the host credit union regarding this interaction.
