I moved out after 2 months. During this incident i was working with someone named ******* or something like that. I signed my papers, left my keys and was faired goodbye by the office lady. I received a letter from a collection agency months later because I had not been paying rent!When I spoke to this guy, *******, he said the lady I worked with was "fired for incompetence". I was speechless. After a moment I said "if that was the reason and I'm literally telling you what my situation is, then clearly she did not document my notice" He goes on to tell me there is no record and "people like me like to get away with getting over on people " I cried on the phone and couldn't believe what I was hearing. I mentioned getting lawyer and he told me that was absolutely pointless and I couldn't fight this "lie". I was so distraught and afraid for my credit that I paid my UNOCCUPIED portion and EXTRA fees for breaking the lease early. Don't worry, I'm only a single mother!!
