Here are the facts, you be the judge. Affordable installed my home roof top Amana A/C unit in 2018. I paid for ************* inspection program. On 3/8/24 I had Affordable tech out for inspection and when he was done he showed me a photo of a hand held metering device that he stated showed that me refrigerant pressure/level was down and that there was a leak in the coil. While the technician agree that the coil was still under factory warranty, he gave me an estimate of $3800.00 to fix it. That included a $589.00 "warranty processing fee". I told him that add-on fee was outrageous and made no sense. The technician went outside and said he contacted the Affordable office and had the warranty processing fee waived. That was a big red flag for me. I said the cost was still way too high and a lady from the office called me later and said she would reduce the refrigerant cost and that the estimate was at $2790.00. Since I had doubts regarding the so-called A/C problem, I paid to have a different Heating/AC contractor (in business for a long time in the Valley) come out on 3/12/24 to do an inspection and guess what? NO indication of a coil leak or low refrigerant was found. I phoned Affordable Comfort on 3/18/24 to decline their proposed service and advised them of my findings from a second inspection and told them I would no longer be a customer of **********************.Affordable Comfort Response

Installed new AC for ** in June of this year. ******************** was *********. Promptly showed on day scheduled for install; on time. ***** arrived promptly thereafter. Installation went smoothly & AC functioning as expected. Affordable Comfort has installed 2 other AC units in the past. Workers have always worked cohesively w/o interruption. This is a terrible company. Do NOT use. On April 2, I was told my air conditioner was not level and needed to be fixed. After paying $500 to the owner (******), two men were sent to raise and level it. A friend went on the roof and it was being held up by PVC piping. I called them and ****** sent out two men to fix it. I received a picture that looks crappy and cannot get a picture of the level air conditioner. I saw the picture when the men were here. I still do not know if anything was done!!!!Review from linda G

They do not return calls or honor warranty parts. MY unit that I bought from them needed extensive work with in 16 months after purchase and I couldn't get anyone to help me - the owner was out of town and he was the only one who could look up the part and order a new one. Give me a break! I was without A/C a whole week while ****** and Sons tried to find out what was wrong and gave me A GREAT DEAL ON THEIR PARTS AND LABOR .Review from CH

Warning people!!!!,Do not sign a Preventative Maintenance Agreement-they don't honor A/C tune ***(2 per year- **************** even after a new purchase(2018). When you call for an appt. it gets rescheduled over and over(4 times in 1 week) to no solution, if you get to talk with someone. Leaving a message on voicemail is to no avail, voicemail is full constantly. My A/C has had 3 PM tune-*** in 3years(should be 6).....Terrible follow-up service........Thanks, CHReview from Catherine T

I would never recommend Affordable Comfort EVER. The tech, ****, came to my house and informed me I needed a new unit. It was going to be $8800, but they could give me 60 months interest-free financing. Great. Sign me up. I asked about paperwork. They told me there is no paperwork. **************** will send it with the retail credit card. I did not get 60 months zero interest as promised. I am being charged interest to the tune of 9.9% interest! I contacted ***** ******, the owner, and explained all this. He did nothing but speed talk over me and try to spin it saying that's the interest you would pay if I ended up having to pay it, if I don't get it paid inside the 60 months. No, it is not. It is interest added on to my balance. I am being charged interest. I filed a dispute with **************** about the terms. It has yet to be resolved. **************** has not been able to reach ***** ****** in 30 days. This company ***NOT by trusted. I don't recommend them. Also, ****, the tech, is nowhere to be found. ***** ****** said he was fired for theft. I know my unit was 12 years old, but I wonder if I really needed the new unit at all. If ***** ****** does not get this straightened out, I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB. Affordable Comfort is dishonest and underhanded with sketchy business practices. If I could leave less than one star, I would."
