Last month, I set up an appointment for a dental procedure for Friday, 9/29/23, and agreed to make a full prepayment of $1,8760.00. On 9/26/23, three days prior to the day of the procedure, I visited the office first thing in the morning, informing them that due to an unexpected scheduling conflict with a long business trip, I had to cancel the appointment and requested that I be refunded the full amount through the original method of payment. The business refused to refund me right then and there, at one point saying they will issue a check in 2 weeks. After I repeatedly insist the refund be made back to my credit card, they promised to have someone call me back later that morning. No one ever did. I called again the next morning 9/27, emphasizing that I have no desire of having the procedure at the office even after my business trip. At one point, ******* did agree to check to see if the refund can be made through the credit card right away, and promised to have someone call me back later that day, but again, no one ever called. It is now a full week since I cancelled the procedure and requested a full refund, and 4 days after the appointment day passed with no service of procedure rendered, I am still waiting for my refund. In a time of e-commerce when transactions, and refunds, are done instantaneously every day, the business has no justification for holing on to my money using all stalling tactics. What is more appalling is their attitude and lack of professionalism. While in their office, one person wanted to know where I am going and for how long - not in a friendly conversational way, but with an apparent I-don't believe-you attitude. No customer deserves unprofessional treatment like that.
