About 2.5 years ago I went to Riviera Carpet and ordered carpet for installation. It was a little pricey but Id compared prices at another store and decided it was in line with what I wanted. The installation went okay. Two years later, last summer, I discovered one of the rooms showed the carpet bubbling up this was a guest bedroom, infrequently used.I took my original order form to their shop and a week later told it was not covered by warranty (just outside of 2 years since install) and it was determined Id have to pay to have it restretched but would first need a visit for an estimate. I wasnt happy to have my carpet fail so soon (never happened after owning several homes) but I wanted to get it done. I never got the follow-up call for estimate visit, I decided to wait till after my out of town vacation to pursue again. I tried again in October, now at this time three separate rooms showing problems and after calling back and forth several times (told they were busy), said Id call again at end of the year. Started again in January, finally got an appointment for estimate last week. They were a no show, so I called and told theyd have to reschedule for following Monday. Someone finally arrived (1.5 hrs late) and spent 10 minutes writing up problem and later that day received voice message and email with full estimate, including what items needed to be moved from room and what area affected, and asked to concur. I was told work would be done 3 days later, Thursday morning and must be paid in advance. I concurred by email and asked if I could provide check on arrival.I spent the next two days prepping rooms and moving my stuff as requested. I left the one bed and bottom of a desk, which was to be moved as part of the estimate. Since I never got a reply on email, called Wednesday to make sure it was on track. Told the appointment was cancelled and would be rescheduled for following week. I was livid, after stacking all my stuff for the work,
