JMR Contracting owned by Casiano "*****" ********* but also goes by the alias Francisco "*****" ********* was hired by myself at the beginning of March 2023 for the purpose of an extensive house remodel including but not limited to repair/texturing/painting of all walls/ceilings/trim, installation of flooring, remodel of bathrooms, & remodel of kitchen. With his quote, he provided a time frame of 5-6 weeks for full completion of this contract. I let him go at the 5.5 month mark after seeing no progress over the final 6 weeks. Throughout the remodel, he continued to have issues with retaining his crew. There also continued to be issues with having things directly causing frequent need for demolition then re-doing items. I had to purchase several hundred additional feet of flooring to replace flooring damaged by his crew despite originally purchasing over the footage. Both bathroom shower niches were installed incorrectly with master shower niche being re-installed incorrectly more than once. At approximately the 4 month mark he requested a "draw" which he explained was an advance against the un-owed balance so he could continue but made no progress following that advance until I let his services go. Over the last 4-5 months he & his crew were only intermittently at the remodel with periods of a week or more having zero progress. When I would follow up on him, there was always an emergency that pulled him away but he never gave a heads up that there would be no one working on site. He would only update me when I asked why no progress was being made. Multiple items came up missing from the site that have not yet been returned. When I let him go, I requested that the $3,500 advance be returned in consideration of the fact that he had not made any progress. He indicated he would assess that "ASAP" & would get back to me. I requested again after 5 days for which he assured me he would look at it then again 7 days after that for which he did not respond.

We hired JMR Contracting for a home remodeling job in July 2020. We had previously used them for another remodel job in 2018 and were pretty much satisfied. There were issues with scheduling to get people here to complete the work, and work was slow when people were here. There were also a lot of excuses given. A 50% deposit was made when the job was estimated. This was not enough to keep the job going and we were asked to advance more cash on several occasions. This should have been a red flag, as we provided and purchased the materials for the job, as well as the dumpster for the job. We had a hiccup and had to order additional flooring. This took about a week to get in. After this, there was no contact from JMR for quite some time after the flooring arrived. Bottom line is, they never finished the job they were paid to complete. JMR Contracting were ordered to repay for the work which was not completed. There has been no communication from them stating when the judgement will be satisfied. I do not recommend this company.
