I originally signed a contract with Bathfitters in November with an agreed plan to have my install happen in December. No one called to notify me of any changes to the install timeline. I contacted them and they said someone "should" have contacted me. Eventually it was scheduled for 2/28. When they came to do the install, the installer cut the wire in my bathroom. Without my knowledge or consent a decision was made that someone would be coming to cut a hole into my wall in my bedroom to make the repair. I was not informed of any of this is until 5:30 pm when the installer was leaving. This will result in loss of income as I work from home and have had to cancel my sessions with clients and an ongoing inconvenience for dealing with the repairs. I have requested a refunded was told there needed to be an analysis before a refund could be considered.Business response

We have been advised that our Newark team is already working with the customer. This complaint should be removed from this Alabama location.Initial Complaint

august or sept pay 398/00 for down payment to do a job was told it would be done in November than told they don't know when they could do it. I told them I wanted my money back 8 weeks ago because I am dealing with veterans administration and I am afraid I will lose my benefits because i am 100% disable I have call many times to no good I really need my money back .bath fitters in ****** Alabama who i deal with I think it is a scam I don't want to lose my benefits with the V A cause of this i need my money back and will never recommend them to anybody please help me get my money backBusiness response

On Sept.20,2021 , a estimate was given to me by **** ******* sale consultant. After reviewing all the paperwork on the estimate of the bathtub & shower, $400.00 deposit was given , and received a copy of the contract &he quoted ,that they were behind due to the Pandemic &, they will contact me by October or first of November. On November 29th, I called both numbers and no answer. Called again on 11/30/21 ,again no answer. Today, 11/30/21 I reached out to the BBB to check if the were still in business. In May 2021 a Bath Fitter master plumber answered my service call and diagnosed the issue as a crack in the shower floor and covered by the company warranty. Repair was scheduled for June but Bath Fitter cancelled due to lack of a trained technician to replace the floor. In July a commitment was made to bring a technical from another store to perform the replacement, instead I was offered a cosmetic repair of the shower. In August a technician came out, questioned the diagnosis of the problem, and offered to perform cosmetic repair. The master plumber again was sent out and confirmed the shower floor is cracked and must be replaced. During these 5 months, I have been without a shower. I can't use the shower because the crack in the shower floor drains water into the first floor ceiling. I have called the Bath Fitter Corp office due to this location not answering the phone and their failure to perform the warranty repair in a timely manner.
