I received a bill Infirmary Health. When I called to make a payment, the lady said I had an outstanding balance of almost $***. I asked why it did not show on the bill I received. She told me it did not show because it had been turned over to collections. I had never received a bill from them for this balance that was over 2 years old. I had been in the office a couple of times (I see my Dr at least once a year, usually a couple of times) and no one told me I had a balance. When I mentioned this, the lady told me that they try to get the girls to inform patients that they have a balance when they collect the deductible but they will not do it. So, why should they turn me over to collections when they can't get their employees to do the job they hired them to do? When I told the lady I wanted to speak with someone who could help me, she told me there was no one, She said my only choice was to pay the agency, who I have not rec'd a letter from either. This is just wrong in so many ways. I have been going to this same Dr for around12-15 years.
