On Dec. 12, 2021, my husband went to the Cullman quick care office and asked the receptionist how much a visit would cost. She said $120 for unisured. My husband clarified it that was all the charges and she said yes. She made no mention of possible additional cost for treatment. The nurse practitioner recommended a steroid shot without advising him it was going to cost extra. A few days later my husband received a bill for 25.00 and 8.00 for the medication. He immediately called to ask what the charge was for. The office said someone would return call within the day. That call has not been returned as of 12/28. We left a negative review on google and the immediate reply was "we are sorry this (charge) was not understood. Please email ..." Basically the reply to the review was to gaslight the patient instead of apologizing it was never discussed by the receptionist or nurse practitioner or customer service days after. When we figured out by ourselves that they had unconscionably charged for a simple injection (some offices don't, its part of the medical visit), he paid the bill with the check and sent on the mail. However, the office went ahead and charged his credit card! He is still not cured of his medical problem despite the antibiotics the nurse practitioner prescribed.Business response

Consumer Response /* (3000, 6, 2021/12/30) */ I would like to add that On Dec 29, my husband called the billing office to inform them that the check had been mailed and request a refund (since we had not explicitly authorized it) . Their reply was to call our bank, cancel the check and bear the burden of the cancelled check. Please remove my husband's name in accordance with your policies of avoiding personal information.
