My husband and I bought the Abigail ***** in June of 2019 and have had nothing but issues, especially with water (lines not being connected, roof leaks, caulking around windows not being done right, ect.) The manufacturer refuses to repair anything and now, the repairs are coming out of pocket. Do yourself a favor and NEVER buy a Clayton built home!!! Customer ***** is the worst and they will not stand by their so-called "quality" products.Clayton Homes Response

Based on our customers home service repair records, all warranted repairs requested within the **************** Structural Warranty that expired 5/20/2020 were completed in the year 2020. Our facility was contacted 12/7/2023 by the home center that sold the home regarding some concerns, and we replied with advice about how the concerns might be addressed. Clayton Homes ************************* stand behind our products, warranty, and strive to do what is right by our customers, retail partners, and communities. It is unfortunate that our customer is dissatisfied, however our company cannot be responsible for causes beyond our control, and although performing regular maintenance and repairs can be frustrating, they are a necessary part of homeownership.Customer Response

These are issues stemming from the so-called "repairs" that were done, within the warranty time frame. The contractors hired to do these repairs did not complete the jobs they were supposed to do and though we repeatedly reported the issues still being present, we were constantly pushed in the corner instead of receiving completed services. The island in the kitchen is not straight, there are drawer tracks broken due to the manufacturer using impact drills to tighten the screws for the brackets, water damage from when they didn't install the vent cover for the stove, but instead placed a metal sheet in the roof that did nothing to stop the rain from pouring into the home, the cabinets in the kitchen are not straight, nor are the beams on the ceiling in the kitchen, and these are just a few of the issues we reported that were never fixed correctly. Regular maintenance is not the issue here, but the lack of quality workmanship is.Review from Leon C

Terrible service, they definitely do not keep their word on the service guarantee! Less than 1.5 year old home now along with all the other problems they still havent fixed, now we have an electrical problem! Every seam in ceilings can be seen, and cannot be redone! We have floors that bounce when you walk across them! Floors have bulges under the linoleum! Smoke detectors work incorrectly! They were supposed to send service people out they lie but they got their money for our home! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Definitely not an honest company!Review from Sharon T

I tried reaching out regarding the safety of a home bought /built less than 5 years ago. The floors are buckling and they never resolved all the construction issues that were supposed to be done so the little things are now huge issuesReview from Melissa W

If you are looking to buy a mobile home DO NOT buy a Cavalier home. We purchased ours the end of October 2019 and Today's Home notified Cavalier in Alabama about to much camber in our home and that someone from Alabama needed to come and look before we took occupancy needless to say no one came from Cavalier. We moved in November 26, 2019 and we wrote down a list of 18 things wrong with our home and gave to Today's Homes, this was send to by email Chris ****** and Julie******* along with another work order asking again for someone to come and look at the camber issue with our home again on December 6, 2019. As of today September 9, 2021 I still don't have things fixed. My kitchen cabinets have cracks in them and Cavalier homes fills them with caulk (my cabinets are supposed to be Duracraft cabinets built for durability) at least that is what the medal plate says on my cabinets. So I have cracks in the cabinets and needless to say they are covered by paper that is peeling. So I thought I was getting something good. My front door is out of square and you see light around it and feel cold air in the winter. My dining room floor about two foot away from the outside wall starts going down hill, causing my windows to pop and crack when you walk in front of them. Cavalier homes sent two service guys to brace my dining room floor up under the house which did not help. It is kinda embarrassing when you have guest and they ask is my furniture not level. My bathtub was not connected and water went all under the house in the insulation and ran between the vinyl and the floor which bucked the floors and the service guys painted a sealer that is concrete on the floor and said it would be better. This doesn't remove the floor being bulked up. My ceilings show the seams where they were put together and have Sheetrock mud on them every 4 feet. I was told once that it is only a shadow and another time that it would look worse if the tried to fix it. My storm door has wide seams in it because it is out of square. I have Sheetrock walls but Cavalier homes put a strip in all the corners and they have big cracks going down the walls between the wall and the wood they put on the corners (looks very unprofessional on Cavalier homes). Cavalier homes cut the vinyl flooring around my door ways and won't fix that either. I guess caulk won't fix it seems caulk is the answer to all their problems. My hot water heater messed up I was told it wasn't under warranty so we called a service person to come and look at it, it was arking fire we were told it was a wonder our home hadn't burnt down so we had to pay this guy for something Cavalier should have paid for. Our plug was tripping the breaker had to have that fixed. Cavalier homes has had to replace two windows so far because moisture getting between them . I have another one that needs replacing. This is not all the 18 things on the list. I do have work order from today's homes, emails that today's home and myself have sent to Chris ******, Julie******* and the complaint department at Clayton Homes and lots of pictures if there is any questions about this complaint I can back it up with documentation.Review from Trina D

Don't waste your money here. I waited way past my original delivery date to get my tiny house. When it arrived, there was paint all over the walls from lazy builders, the shower wasn't caulked and my bathroom flooded, washing machine was totally messed up, closet doors were not put together correctly and won't close right, and so many other things. I'm totally devastated and this was NOT a cheap tiny house. Now that I've got it, they won't help much with any of the issues. There's no pride in their work. I just want a house that was easy to move into. This has been a nightmare.
