      I received a box of fish today after I cancelled my subscription for a box a month about 4 months ago. When I called them they said I had never cancelled. I told them it must have cancelled because this was the first order I received since I cancelled. They told me to prove I cancelled! The reasoni cancelled was because I let them know numerous times that I didnt want salmon. Every time I received salmon.

We thoroughly reviewed your account and see that you've been consistently receiving orders from ** for a few months now for the combo box containing ********* and salmon. We are still having trouble locating any records of you contacting us prior as we mentioned during your chat with our member experience team. The only one we see is the most recent conversation in August after your most recent order had been delivered. We'd love to understand more about what may have happened here and one of our Team Leads has reached out a few times to see if we could discuss this further.We can assure you that we take any requests from members very seriously and always do our best to follow up promptly when receiving requests of action to be taken, your experience can help us understand if there are any gaps we are unaware of so we'd love to hear back from you.

      Horrible customer service. Also, be aware if you are a female calling and get a male there will be several degrading and misogynistic comments. I spoke with 2 men and both spoke over me and not accidentally cause when you speak over someone on accident you catch your, stop and apologize. Neither did that. A manager also called me maam -I let him know its insulting when you said it without a southern accent as clearly they werent raised as it is polite whereas the majority of the US in the current day it comes across as insulting and demeaning. I told him that, he tried to rebuttal and I said unless you mean to insult women as a women it is insulting sans the exception of being from the south and being there where it is normal. They need to have some training with the men, we are in an era where men need to be more mindful and blatantly respectful to women esp over the phone. Mindfulness is a needed aspect of customer service and this ********************** clearly lacks it with the 2 interactions I had to today.

      Once you go Wild Alaskan, you can't go back. We've been eating fish from Wild Alaskan for a few years now and I cannot stand fish from grocery stores anymore. My other option is fresh fish off the coast sold at the farmers market, which is not as convenient as fish shipped right to my door already cleaned and nicely proportioned. The customer service from this ********************** is exceptional - always accommodating and helpful.

      I m amending my review prior to this one on Wild Alaskan. I was wrong and it was my mistake totally and not theirs. I had said thier fish was dated 3 yrs back, and could not have been more wrong. I had ordered two separate orders from totally different fish/meat companies and got them mixed up. UGH!! The dates I was looking at was on the other orders not WA. I did not know this and would have never known I had made this HUGE blunder if I had not gotten an email from *****, the Member Experience Specialist. He gently let me know they do not put dates on their packaged fish and went on to explain the catching, processing and packaging process. After reading the email, I went and looked at the remainder of salmon in my freezer and sure enough, there was no date on any of the packages. I looked on the other order I had purchased from a different company and there was the date of 3 yrs ago. HUGE mistake on my part. Talk about embarrassing!!!Anyway, ***** was so understanding and gracious of my blunder, and welcomed me back in the future. Really, I could not wait to come back on the BBB website and amend my prior review. Please, if you are reading this, please, disregard my prior review and know they are a reputable company and go out of their way to help you understand the process they go through before it gets to you. Their fish is not dated 3 yrs back. That was totally my mistake, not theirs.

      Im disappointed that I need to post a negative review, but I believe in honesty. My experience with Wild Alaskan is that they practice bait and switch. My first two boxes were fantastic, and well worth the price. Then I received my third box (a day late I might add) and all of the salmon fillets (the most expensive item in the box) were paper thin and clearly nowhere near 6-8 oz. The meat on the fillet was the same thickness as the skin. Im only sorry I cant post my pictures here, but theyre posted on Yelp. Definitely not worth the price, so I ended my subscription.

      This review is an update to my previous review. It seems I left my first (angry) review too quickly because ****** of Wild Alaskan reached back out to me (before my negative review was published) and having talked the matter over with his supervisor truly fixed the problem. Of course now I wish I could just delete (or amend) my bad review.
