I had reservations to stay 2 nights from July 17, 2021 through July 19, 2021. We checked into the hotel on Saturday July 17th, and spent the night. I was charged for 2 nights for a total of $328.36 at check-in. Early on the morning of Sunday July 18th, we received a phone call that we had a death in family. We needed to return to ******* as soon as possible to make funeral arrangements. We checked out of Aurora Denali Lodge about 9:00 am on the morning of the 18th. When I checked out, the 2 people at the front desk told me they would change the stay from 2 nights to 1 night. They said since I booked through Expedia that the price would "probably" be adjusted when they did their end of the month audit, but I should call Expedia to notify them of the change in the booking. I contacted Expedia, and they said since they did not collect payment, Aurora Denali should handle refunding the second night. Aurora Denali is now refusing to credit the second night.
