      We had an awesome experience could not be happier. The reservation was easy, the shuttle service was polite and on time. We enjoyed our whole experience in ****** hope to do again soon.

      I recently rented from Great Alaskan Holidays and although we loved the trip, the quality of the new Forester RV we rented was poor. Unfortunately, that led to us getting charged for damage that would not have occurred with a vehicle of higher quality. During our weeklong trip, numerous items came loose, didn't work well, didn't connect without extra effort, or were otherwise indicative of corners cut and shoddy craftmanship. This isn't necessarily Great Alaskan's issue (that's to come) but it did have consequences for us. When my daughter shut the side window above the couch with regular force (the rest of my family of 6 were all watching her and can attest to that), the window completely shattered. Great Alaskan charged us $591 for the window. Luckily, we had purchased the extra insurance coverage so we only had to pay a $300 deductible. Had this been my fault, I would have been totally ok with it (I’ll own up to my mistakes) but I shouldn’t have to subsidize Great Alaskan for choosing cheaply made RVs. My issue with Great Alaskan is that (i) they were completely unwilling to work with me on it and charged me the full amount regardless and (ii) the customer service related to this was horrendous. The two managers I spoke with turned combative nearly immediately and made little effort to hear me out. When we picked up the RV, I heard them literally yelling at a customer and threatening to call the police if they didn’t leave. I thought that was a one-off, but it’s obviously not. We didn’t come to yelling but they clearly don’t provide the level of service you would expect from a professional organization these days. Did the window break while I had the RV? Yes. But most other companies would be willing to accept product deficiencies and not charge you for that. So, if you do rent from Great Alaskan, beware. Understand that if anything happens to the RV, even if the result of shoddy construction, you will be charged for it. Treat everything in it with kid gloves, even if you already think you are. Alaska is a beautiful state with wonderful people and I plan on going back there again and often. But I will never rent from Great Alaskan again.

      Zero Stars Do not trust this Company to serve your best interest; they won't. We reserved an RV 6 months before our vacation, had a deposit on hand with them, and then with two weeks left before our vacation we received an email that they would not have an RV for us. I contend they knew this was going to be a problem well before and should have alerted us much earlier so we could have a better chance to salvage our RV vacation. When I asked if they were going to rebook us through a competitor I received a reaction of surprise that I would ask and instead was emailed a list of other RV rental companies. I spent the next three hours trying to rebook with one of these alternative companies but of course, with only two weeks notice, during the high season, found it impossible and am now without an RV. When I originally booked with them I had to pay for cancelation insurance; when they canceled with me all I was offered was a discount on a future rental. This future discount does no good when vacation time and flights are already booked. I am left scrambling to salvage a vacation at no financial penalty to them; a fair contract should be written that if they don't hold up their end they should reimburse their customers.

      Unfortunately there were several factors that led us to have to cancel many reservations. None of these factors were our fault and we were promised to have all of the RV's that we purchased more than a year ago delivered to our facility by June 1. Several delays at the factory due to parts and labor shortages (all COVID related) caused unforeseen problems assigning commercially qualified drivers to get through Canada. The driver shortage was not anticipated by us and we only found out that several of our vehicles would be delayed just 2 weeks before our first reservations were picking up. The customers that we had to cancel received a full refund and were given options to book later in the season or next year at a discount. We realize that this created a big inconvenience to our customers and we tried to help them rebook with our competitors. We are truly sorry for this and prior to this year we have never had to cancel one reservation due to a shortage of vehicles in our 36 years in business.

      Bad ( 'Great') Alaskan Hiolidays ruined our vacation! We reserved RV, paid deposit and got confirmation #. Then we booked non-refundable air-ticket, RV sites and other activities in Alaska for the two weeks vacation. Two weeks before the departure, they cancelled our reservation! They blame the RV supplier for not delivering enough RV and offered no help for us to find alternative ways for our trip. Called them and left voice message and have no reply. Due to the short notice, we can not find any other available RV and even rental cars for the trip. sadly this trip was not possible and we lost thousands $

      A group of 10 family members from multiple states booked 2 RV's months in advance for a once in a lifetime trip 2 week trip around Alaska. We found out on Facebook 5 DAYS before our trip that they had a supply chain issue and that there were no RV's available. No one called us-we had to reach out to confirm. We were only able to speak to an inexperienced customer service representative who nonchalantly informed us that indeed there were no RV's, there was no manager to speak with and then told us to look elsewhere. We are left scrambling for alternate arrangements of which there are few and what is available has a significant cost difference. Despicable customer service, no offers of reparations. .

      Thank you for your reply. We have a thorough understanding of the supply chain issues. It is your egregious behavior that we will never be able to reconcile. Your company knew the full scope of cancellations that were going to occur on Thursday May 20th and did absolutely nothing about it . A customer in a similar situation posted on Facebook on Sunday May 23rd that her RV was canceled. THAT is how we found out. Not from the company- Facebook! We spoke to a customer service representative on Sunday May 23 upon hearing of this and she was as nonchalant as could be. Our trip was in 5 days!! It was as if a dinner reservation was being delayed instead of a 2 week trip being ripped out from under our feet for 10 people. WE had to find alternate travel arrangements (at a significant cost). She offered absolutely no solutions so please don’t tell me you tried to help us. Any other contact with your company has been at our doing. We have requested multiple times for the owner to call us and yet- no call. SHAMEFUL!
