These people don't even deserve a single star. This used to be a great place to buy furniture but since Ray Ruby turned the business over to his kids it has gone to crap. Like many others on the BB site my wife and I are currently going through hell trying to get them to fill our order. We purchased a dining room set on September 2nd and paid for it in full. They told us it would be a couple weeks for delivery. Several weeks later they called and said that the table and two of the four chairs were in and they would deliver them. Then they would deliver the other two as soon as they arrived. We set a deliver date and a couple hours later they called back and said they made a mistake and nothing was in yet They said they would contact us when the order arrived. Then we heard on the news that they were declaring bankruptcy. I called and asked if that meant we would not receive our order. They told me that they just filed chapter 11 and had reorganized and it would not affect their ability to do business. They said the hold up was that the order comes from Texas and they only ship to our area when they have a full truckload. After waiting another month we called again and were told that the holiday season was slowing down deliveries. They always have some excuse but they insist that our order will arrive, they just can't tell us when. Now for the past several weeks they don't even answer the phone when we call. The calls go directly to hold and when you leave a message they don't return the call. I went on the internet and found the exact set we ordered at stores all over the east coast and usually they have multiple sets in stock. Unfortunately none are located in our area. I've just about had it with them. We have waited this long because my wife really likes the set we picked. But if I don't get a response from them soon, I'm going out there and demand a refund. If you are considering buying furniture, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!Review from chris v

9 Months I have been waiting on a single couch. The first delivery date was 3 months. After 4 months there was no call or word from the company so I called and they informed me that the delivery date was updated to end of July which would be 6 months. End of July rolls around and no word again so I call and they inform me that they cant get the right fabric and now it will be the start of October. Mid October I get an email from them, the one and only communication, and they tell me its going to be the end of October. 3 weeks into November now I call and am told TO COME IN AND PICK A NEW ONE because they cant get the fabric. I get there being issues but no one communicated anything to me, or even suggest I pick a different fabric. It was just, we cant get that couch anymore come pick a different one. I decided that I wanted a refund, as I'm not waiting on them to not communicate anymore, and I am instructed that it will take up to a month to get my money back. When i asked why, I was told that other people are waiting first. WHAT?!?! I don't care that other people are waiting. Do you need to sell more couches before you can afford to refund me?? You charged me $2300 the day I bought the couch, why do I need to wait a MONTH for a refund. I asked to speak to a manager but was told that there was none. Asked for the accountant that had to handle the refund and they are on vacation for the next 2 weeks. What is going on over there? Is anybody in charge?Review from Brandon S

I came into Ruby-Gordon looking for furniture for my new apartment, but did not know exactly what I wanted. The employee I worked with did an amazing job at helping me pick out a sectional that would best fit my awkward shaped living room. I ended up purchasing a sectional and a bedroom set and got a great deal on them. Both items were delivered to my home the following day and my girlfriend and I have been extremely pleased with our purchases ever since!Review from Rory A

Had an absolutely fantastic experience! The sales person was attentive but not pushy and helped us find the exact sectional we needed. It took longer than we were quoted to get delivery but the manger was very helpful and understanding and followed up with us when we asked him to. Within the first 6 months, I noticed an issue with the front part of the sectional even though it was brand new and barely used. However, the service department went above and beyond to resolve the issue promptly. The person I dealt with from the service department was very knowledgeable and the repair tech was exceptional. Do NOT go to this company. They don’t even deserve a single star. They don’t care about the customer and refused to give a refund a day after buying a item. They don’t tell you details like this sale is final and once they have your money forget it. The sales manager we have left messages for numerous times and he hasn’t responded. Shady sales practices and terrible customer service. Stay AWAY!Review from Kate S

Absolutely so happy with my service and my furniture. I have purchased many pieces of over the years, all my mattresses, my large sectional, my dining table and my kitchen set. I get so many compliments. But my favorite is my mixed media, 70" TV stand! I get so many compliments on it. Every time I have visited the store all the workers have been very nice and super helpful. I would highly recommend! And it's a local company which makes me happy!!Review from Armand H

Aaron Ruby is a spoiled little third-generation child who ran a once successful Ruby-Gordon furniture business into the ground. He did this by screwing the previous generation’s loyal repeat customers via not honoring warranties, and by mismanaging company money - he didn’t have the business savvy it takes to know how to purchase the right products and inventory. Now, the company is liquidating and he’s going to try and reopen under the guise of a higher-end store. Buyer beware, this organization from the top down is unskilled in what it takes to provide a great customer experience. There are plenty of other furniture operations in the area that value their customers so look around. Take it from this consumer who has first-hand experience.Review from Sheri S

Do not go to Ruby Gordon for furniture !! Ordered a bedroom set in February - after paying my deposit I then find out I can’t get it for 8-12 weeks - approximately mid May. Mid May rolls around and when I call I’m told they would check and call me back . After the third call ( no return call the first two times) I’m told it should come in Mid- June. Mid June comes and after 3 more call (2 unreturned again) I get a manager - we are looking at August now. I said nope ! He said (Harry) come in and pick out something else or you can cancel your order. We went in and our set was available in the floor model - great right ?? Well the floor model was $500 more if we wanted it - nope ! After some negotiation we got a discount on the floor model and scheduled delivery for June 23rd- expect a call the day before for a delivery window. Guess what ?? No call ! So I call and am told oh yes your nightstand and mirror will be delivered tomorrow the rest in a few weeks ! After completely melting down Ron ( another manager) tells me he needs to look into it and will call me back (doubtful..) He did call back though - we do have the entire bedroom set but unfortunately the delivery trucks are all full for tomorrow so we can’t get it to you until next Wednesday - melt down again- inisisted on delivery tomorrow or a discount - sorry no can do. Honestly at this point I’m done with them but we’ve already moved all of our furniture out of the bedroom. If no delivery of our full bedroom set on Wednesday the order is cancelled and we will go elsewhere.Review from linda j

I received a defective couch that I waited five months for. I have contacted the store and am waiting for the mgr. to contact me again. The middle couch cushion sinks which means something on the bottom is making it sink. I've called to no avail. This is totally unacceptable and I need a call back! Chances are we will be showing up within the next couple of days! I look forward to hearing from you. Disgusted, ***** *******
