Terrible place to do business with. Unprofessional staff and leadership.

They stole my vehicle from my driveway over changing insurance companies. No warning, no phone call, nothing. Never missed a single payment. No late payments either. Literally, stole my property. This occurred at * ******* ******* ** ****** **. They WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE STOLEN PROPERTY. THEY WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR CRIMINAL ACTIONS.

I have used Empower FCU for 3 years and its been nothing but a struggle! Still have the same $750 credit card limit since it started. Empower STEALS you're money any chance it gets, especially with ACH transfers. The branch in Cicero, NY smells absolutely awful and that's just unprofessional folks. I switched to Chime as of now for a better future.

Folks this bank is a scam. At one time they where honorable business people. Now they are legalized thieves. In other words you put money into your account with them and they steal it from you. Not exactly who I would ever recommend banking with. They proly have decedent's of Bonnie and Clyde working for them.

Empower FCU is a JOKE. Do not ever go through them, especially for a vehicle loan. Empower contacted me saying my insurance through ***** wasn’t enough for them. They told me they were putting a year policy of $2,059 on my loan covering me full for insurance and that I no longer needed *****. From there, I now received a letter from the DMV stating I haven't been insured. This is because Empower told me they were covering me for full insurance WHEN THEY REALLY WEREN’T. They were only covering what ***** wasn’t and they never told me that. So now my plates are suspended because of them. They also have no care in the world, would not let me speak to a manager and have been rude to me about WHAT THEY HAVE DONE

I would give negative stars if possible. Will not answer phones. After 3 months of attempting to contact, sending and receiving letters, paying for cancelled checks (issued by my bank), paying for postage and at least 40 hours of my time they will not let me pay off my car loan. Empower bought my loan from another credit union and have denied me access to my own account information for months. They lose my checks, don't follow through and what they say they will do. This is even in "my file" that they keep. I have had to contact the Attorney Generals office and am in process of hiring private attorney to access my own information. They will not let me pay off my car loan. They are returning a certified bank check because empower was spelled with 2 "e's" by my bank. The amounts paid and what are due don't add up. Wont accept drivers license, professional state license, county tax bill and utility bill as change of address. They are absolutely the worst and I can't imagine the number of people they are stealing from. They will put you on hold for a long time or on a phone tree for hours hoping you go away. I have had many mortgages, car loans etc in my lifetime and hold a credit score of 838. These people are stealing. It is morally disgusting.

Just trying to verify my account balance. Even giving name,, social security number, address they will not give me my balance because I forgot my password. Tell me to go to the nearest branch which is 2 1/2 hours away for me and they hang up! Really, just to verify a balance!

Empower fcu is essentially a defunct bank run by a bunch of scamming thieves. This organization exists solely to defraud it's members. They literally stole property from my home in the dead of night. I never missed a single payment. I never received warning. Do not give them your business.
