I worked with Wall Max and Red River Roofing to replace my roof and siding after a big storm last year. I was extremely disappointed with my experience with both (they go by multiple names, first red flag). First of all, there were several roof leaks I reported within weeks of the project that they never came back and fixed (I had to get another company to do so - costing me another $4000). Next, the workers left hundreds and hundreds of nails all over my yard. Most companies will clean these up with a magnet, etc - this team did no such thing and left a big mess. Most disturbingly, the workers defecated in the back yard of my property - leaving toilet paper and trash (and literal feces) to blow on my land and into my neighbors yard. Last of all - my insurance needed an itemized list of their services which Wall Max refused to provide. This costed me over $30,000. I will never recommend Wall Max and highly advise you to steer clear. My contact was Lan D****** at "Wall Max" and Jay P***** at Red River Roofing - and I never got a response from either regarding the documents needed for insurance. Will never use this company again, and absolutely do not recommend!

Below is the letter / response we sent to Mr. **** in January. He has been placed in collections w/ our attorney and we believe he is retaliating against us. Mr. ****, I have spent time with my staff that has been involved with your project(s), including review of document history to understand your issues and the history. As I understand, you currently have 2 issues pending, as follows: 1. You have not paid a final balance of $4,135.00 on 1 of your roofing contracts #***** / $53,009.00. You are now disputing the final balance and citing that you had to hire another contractor to make repairs to the roof for a leak that surfaced 14 months after our roof completion. The following are facts pertaining to the contract and owed balance. a. Jay ****** (Account Manager) has told you on several occasions that you don’t have a warranty on the contract pertaining to the owed balance until you have paid in full. This is in your contract language with Red River. b. I am aware that you have 2-ea roofing contracts, but I am unsure if the building with the stated leakage is the same contract that the balance is owed? c. I am aware now that you made 4 payments on roof project #***** (2 January, 1 February, 1 July). The terms of your contract were “Net 7” and therefore you obviously were paying your invoice on this contract outside of the contract terms. 2. Siding Project #55192 / $45,320.00 (paid in full), you have requested document support to be provided to State Farm for assistance to collect withheld recoverable depreciation. I have learned from my internal research that there has been confusion about which project you may be requesting / needing help. Both Jay ****** and his manager had believed you were needing documents related to the roofing claim, which had been sent to State Farm with supporting pictures. The constant theme I have seen from Jay ******’s communication is the unwillingness to provide support until you have completed all contract payments. If you are still needing insurance document support for this siding project, I will instruct my staff to assist you if requested. It’s my understanding from review of the insurance documents that your siding replacement cost value is approximately $17,000.00 and you have already received an actual cash value of $13,600.00. Therefore you should have insurance funds to be paid to you of approximately $3,400.00. Summary Notes – • Mr. ***’s, you have 4 contracts for different construction services with my company. I believe you are over-lapping contracts with your non-payment of balances you’re your complaints and request for support. • Each project you have contracted stands alone for performance, workmanship, warranties and payments. It appears you have been holding payments in the amount of $4,135.00 for a roofing contract on the larger home which was completed in October of 2021, because you are wanting insurance support for a different siding contract. It’s my belief that this is against contract law. • In November of 2022 you stated you had a roof leak that we aren’t sure which contract or building it pertains. Now you are shifting strategy in non-payment of your balance, and stating that you have out of pocket expenses for roof repairs. So, is your non-payment strategy due to insurance document support or roof leak repairs. • You have made statements that you were planning to pay balances in full with funds coming from a work bonus, then a loan taken from Green Sky Financing, then a bank loan. What this indicates to me is you executed contracts with Red River that had terms of “Net 7” on all contracts without having sufficient funds available to pay. I would believe this may be considered contract fraud. • Additionally, have seen communication notes in which you are stating bad customer service from my company because of delays related to Pandemic material shortages. You were made aware of these delays. My request and recommendation is that you pay your final balance owed of $4,135.00 for the $53,009.00 roofing contract, project #*****. If this is the building you claimed November leakage and decided to use another contractor, that is not our fault. Your contract specifically states that you have a warranty after final payment. If the balance was paid in full, Red River would have mobilized to correct any deficiencies due to our workmanship, and you would have saved the time, money and effort you spent finding another contractor. It also appears this contractor charged you an excessive amount for a leak repair. I apologize for your frustrations and believe we could have helped you more efficiently and fully had you held your end of the contractual bargain and paid your invoices according to the contract terms. Sincerely, Steve ******* President – Red River Roofing, Siding & Windows
