We used Spectra for our small bathroom remodel project and had an unpleasant experience, primarily due to poor project management and little to no communication. When several delays occurred, it took numerous emails and phone calls to get a clear answer as to when work would be completed. This was particularly frustrating as we had to rework our personal and work schedules often based on limited or incomplete information. We had to provide regular reminders about features to be installed and confirm that this work was completed, some of which had been forgotten. At times, it was also unclear when certain subcontractors would arrive and how long they would be at the house. Spectra also had inadequate timing and/or complete neglect of product submittals that we asked to be part of the project we should not have been approving products the day of install. We found the lack of communication to be disrespectful of the fact that this was our only bathroom in our main house, that we have a small toddler, and that we were 7 months pregnant. Finally there was a lack of quality control. We had to email after completion of the project to address unfinished work and damages to existing features. **** worked with many contractors at our home throughout the years and are accustomed to this process and need to be flexible. However, this project was an exception and could have been greatly improved with better communication, management, and transparency.

We used Spectra Kitchen and Bath to completely gut and remodel our very outdated and poorly designed kitchen. Upon starting the process, they were very accommodating for meetings and very responsive to calls and e-mails. After months of working out a new floor plan, measurements, deciding on product, ordering and scheduling, demolition day finally arrived. They immediately had 2 workers in our home. The *******, design manager and the company owner all showed up to check on the progression. Very quickly there after that all changed. One of the workers was in an accident, and understandably, not on the job site. But there was no communication from the office about this, we learned about it from the other worker, nor did they ever send someone over to help the one person we had left. Communication skills very quickly became almost non-existent with multiple calls and emails to the office personnel, the ******* and the owner. It became very apparent that they were stretching their construction crews, maybe just crew, to a breaking point and this was having a trickle-down effect. A lack of attention to detail and workmanship, days with crew members leaving early to attend to other jobs and days with no crew members at all. Often, we were left with significant clean up just to ensure than no human or pet stepped on anything they shouldnt. This left us with only a microwave and running water in just our bathrooms for close to 2 full months. Leaving us unable to **** for our kids and having to do laundry in other peoples homes. Despite multiple calls and emails to the office staff, as well as a call directly to the owner and an email to him detailing these hardships and the time frame, there was never any apology offered. To say that we were very disappointed in our experience would be a gross understatement. The only recommendation this company will be receiving from us will be not to use them. Considering the cost, we did not get our moneys worth.

We have been waiting for cabinet replacement doors that are warped and also have handle holes drilled in wrong place. This is round three over the last 9 plus months of continuous problems with warped doors, handle holes drilled wrong, missing doors, baseboard falling off. The general manager has quit responding to emails and basically ignores us. The installation crew also attempts to gets answers from general manager on replacement parts but also has no luck. My advice would be to stay away from this company they create problems and then don't address their mistakes.
