Not to be trusted. Quick to point the finger, unethical. This was abviously a garage door installation done poorly with a lack of quality or attention to detail. I bought my new build Richmond American home 1 year ago. I noticed a loose s**** on one of the garage door panels and attempted to tighten only to discover that the s**** was actually stripped. While doing this I noticed even more screws on every panel that are also loose to the touch of my finger and they are also stripped. When technician came to investigate my warranty claim he lied to his general manager saying that I stripped the screws which is absurd and an outright lie. The technician said he had no time to check all the screws to verify my claim. The *************** quickly made judgment without ever speaking to me and told Richmond Amercan they would not honor there warranty because I touched a s**** and stripped it when I tightened it. As a 30yr USAF disabled veteran aircraft maintainer, quality assurance manager. I can assure you that I am more qualified to tighten a simple s**** than any of their unqualified uncertified technicians. The technician lied and the ** quickly passed blame rather than accept responsibility for a job that was not completed to a reasonable standard due to unqualified technician that failed to follow proper installation procedures, cut corners, and did not apply necessary skill and care.
