I purchased a single family home on Dec 13,2021 on which Poplin Construction had done roofing work; a significant $23,000 worth of repairs that the previous owner's insurance company had contracted to do as part of an insurance claim for wind damage to said roof. The property address is **** ********** **., S***** ****** ** *****. The previous owner was Ms. ****** ******. I am selling this property now because of health conditions, and the sale of such is contingent on a home inspection. A home inspection was performed on 3/7/2022 by TRW Inspections. The inspector, Mr. T***** ******, found significant problems with the roof overall, and the discrepancies and photographs of same were noted in the report. I immediately contacted Poplin Construction, and was put in touch with a ***** ****** She was informed me that because the repair had been performed for a previous owner, Poplin Construction would NOT provide a transferrable warranty on said repairs. She was even interested in looking at my inspection report regarding the roof. The repairs were made just several months prior to my taking ownership of this residence. In the period of this time frame, there have been not significant weather or any other condition to have caused the issues noted in the inspection report. I firmly believe that Poplin Construction has behaved badly with the it's reaction to my reasonable request to look over the roof and make repairs as necessary to satisfy the inspector's recommendations and in effect, remedy their substandard roofing repair work.
